Ok, I'm probably completely screwed but I need to ask for help regardless....

I have a Razr Maxx HD. It has been rooted for about a year. I manage to keep the root active with OTA Rootkeeper through the updates, fairly simple. I've been on 4.1.2 for a couple of months now with no problem.

A couple of days ago my phone randomly decided to go to complete and utter hell. I randomly got spammed with a bunch of "Unfortunatley (enter name of app or process here) has stopped" apps i wasnt even using. This basically rendered my phone useless!!

Now I desperately tried to fix it but to no avail. I tried to clear cache, i tried to factory reset, nothing! The phone simply won't do it. And my dumbass when i installed the root i never saved a backup rom...I backed up all information with Titatnium but I don't have a flashed back up rom :(

I did a hard reset and I'm in the BP tools section of Safestrap. The problem, which is prob causing the phone to act stupid, is that the /data is more than likely screwed big time. It shows 0MB and it absolutely cannot be mounted. I try to do a Factory Reset from the BP tools but I always get "E:failed to mount /data (device or reource busy)" in the DOS.

I'm positive thats what killing my phone. I think somehow my /data folder got completely corrupted.

Can I repair it? I mean I can't even access my phone folders on PC cause it simply won't show up. I actually have the /data folders contents available but my attempts to put it on a micro sd card and try to copy it to the internal storage via BP tools has been fruitless. primarily because of the "E:failed to mount /data (device or reource busy)" crap i've been getting. IS their anyway i can fix that /data folder?? or am I better of throwing it in a lake and just filing a insurance claim...

I would start by going back to full stock with the latest fxz.

Thank you so much for the reply. I totally forgot about the Droid Razr Utility...could've save me alot of headaches.

I wiped everything and downgraded back to ICS 4.0.4 and it actually seems to be running stable. I have no idea what caused my initial problem nor do i want to go through that ordeal to find out.

Thank you so much! I should've posted here much earlier...
