I've got a Droid Razr Maxx (XT912) that has a persistent error. When I restart the phone, I receive an error indicator in the notification shade that says: "Location Reporting Can't determine previous setting. Turned off." when I click the notification, it brings me to the Google location settings app where the box is checked to allow Google apps to use this phone's location any time the device is on. Below that, is the same "location reporting" error. When I click it, I have to slide the switch at the top to turn it on. This happens every time I have to restart the phone.

Another error (possibly related) is that my Chrome app disappears from the dock as well. It's still installed in my app drawer, but I have to re add it to my homescreen. I migrated all of my apps to the ext SD card to free up space using Titanium Backup and I'm wondering if there is a settings app that must be on the internal in order to keep record of those settings???

My set up is:

Droid Razr Maxx (XT912 Verizon)

Android Version 4.2.2

AOKP Rom  (aokp_spyder_jb_mr1_milestone-2)

Google Experience Launcher with "ok google" voice control

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm gonna venture a guess and say it might be something in the ROM not playing nice..... I personally have never seen that error.....

Thanks for the reply. I've been running the ROM for several months and haven't had any problems with it, so I don't think the ROM is causing the issue. I truly believe the problem is when I migrated EVERYTHING to the ext SD card that I moved a settings app that has to be on the internal memory in order to "store" the data for reboot? I just happened to do this at the same time as installing the Google Experience Launcher and new Google Search because I had to make room for the install that I wasn't able to track which step caused the error. I've tried uninstalling the launcher and reverting to an older version of the Android Framework and Google Search, but I still get the error. This is what makes me believe that there is a simple settings app that I need to put back on the internal memory, but I have no idea what it would be and I don't want to start moving things without a purpose.

Indeed, its quite possible that moving apps to SD ... or the new launcher is what is causing you problems..... maybe try one thing at a time (moving apps back etc) .... until it works.....
