Does the form ask about the JB leak? I didn't submit a form for myself so I don't know.

Yes, it has you identify which build you are on, and one of the options is 98.72.8.XT912, as well as the old ICS. We'll see if I get it!

Yeah, which makes me wonder why the OP said this test is only for ICS users.... Why else would they ask if we're already on the leak or not? And then okay the application.

Well when you sign up for MFN you're only putting your name in the hat. When they send out invites, you complete a survey that further determines your eligibility based on a bunch of different factors. There's no telling, if you're on the JB leak OTA they may want to test if the "final" release will update successfully as the leak may not have been the final release version.

Make sense?

+1 to this. After I filled out the survey, it said I fit the qualifications of the test. It also said that I have to have my phone stock and un-rooted with no backups. Stock - no prob, I haven't uninstalled or disabled any programs from the leak. Un-rooted - no prob, Voodoo did that for me, BUT it kept a backup - Would that be a problem? If so how do I remove the Voodoo root backup?

No, shouldn't be a problem. I temp unrooted and re-rooted during the ICS soak.

Will a temp unroot on stock work for this?

You will need to remove recovery from within safestrap, otherwise the update will fail on logwrapper.

did any of you ever have issues with the leaked jb ota and sdcard? i have a few times had issues where data on the sdcard is mysteriously deleted and times where it says the sdcard is corrupt need to reformat. when it happens i have to unmount it. put it back in. boot to recover and clear cache. then reboot and seems fine for a while. i have no idea what causes this. it has happened on three different sdcards and this is on the stock rom just rooted. i hope fixed in new ota soak version. this pisses me off. i actually lost all my data once. luckily i had a partial backup of the entire sdcard.

It's been posted a few times that it can take 7-10 days for the push to actually happen. I linked to a complete FAQ guide that I wrote. Check it out if you want additional info. :)

5pm, guess I would not bet on you!!! They won't drop the update until after the second part of the soak test is done, which is to notify whoever is part of it that they are indeed part of it. Then part 3 is the actual soak. Since no one has reported the second part, any guesses on timing are way way off!!! Heck with the soak, just send it out!!!

My brother got the leak JB from me and he lost all his pictures on his SD card. He went out and found a recovery program but only recovered 75% of his pictures.

I'm beginning to think they announced this as a cruel joke. If it really needs 'tested' before the March 31 deadline you'd think it would be out there. No offense intended of course. (-;

Once they start the soak, it will be out fast unless there is an issue.
