Watching Rebels with my son tonight I noticed something we all missed the first time through. When Ezra is talking to the picture of his parents and Hera overhears him she touches her stomach and smiles when he talks about family.

We had the conversation in the context of Last Jedi and where they may go next.  This add weight to that possibility.  Filoni said how Ahsoka was dressed was a critical clue in what she's been doing in those years between the fight with Vader and end of RotJ.  The clothing she was wearing and even the staff she was holding was all meant to be a clue but he won't commit to anything until he decides what the full story around it is.  He's been using Rebels to pull stuff from old EU and giving it a chance to become canon in the new world.  Brilliant IMO.

He probably pulled one of the best characters from the EU with Thrawn. I never read Zahn's book but everything is consistent with that character.

I was quite impressed when I found out that thrawn was from the EU. It was not a lightweight character and really brought a lot to the storyline. That's what made it awesome.

I got mostly aquatinted with Thrawn from the Tie Fighter game. I beat it and all the expansions. Thrawn and the Tie Defender featured heavily in it.

Early concepts of it were a regular Tie plus shields. Later it got the tri wing design. Originally in the game the Defender was made by an imperial scientist and commander who wished to take over the empire for himself. You were serving the emperor and Thrawn by stopping him.

So guessing that the game author and Flioni drank from the same tap. That game dates back to the mid nineties. Saves some time when you can reach into the trash bin and rescue a gold nugget or two. Not sure if the Defender was part of the EU though.

So they still don't have the disc plus digital option on Vudu. I ended up buying the UHD version and I will get the UHD disc in two weeks. Can't wait to watch this tomorrow LOL
