Hi everyone,

I'm a total noob to rooting. I was running the OTA Jelly Bean updated when I rooted my XT912 yesterday, and when I got home, I looked up some custom roms. I found one I liked, and I followed the instructions to install it. I must have messed something up along the way, because I somehow lost the backup of my stock rom in V 3.11 Bootstrap loader. It says it exists, and it says it loads, but when i go to boot after I've loaded it, I get the brick screen. The only thing I could do was reboot it, and go back to the bootloader screen for the same thing to happen all over again. So, I looked up how to unroot/unbrick my phone and I found this link :

. I saw that it would take my phone back to Gingerbread, and I thought "no big deal, at least I'll have my phone back." I followed all these directions to the letter, and I got stuck in a boot loop like it said I might. When I went to follow the instructions of how to get out of the bootloop, I just get the android laying on his back with his stomach open and a red exclamation point over it. I don't even get an option to do a factory wipe. Now I'm totally stuck and I feel like I'm effed in the a. Maybe someone knows what I can do (if anything?), or they feel like helping me?? Please help!!

I don't think you can go back to Gingerbread once you have updated to ICS.........and JB is even farther along......

Was it able to boot into the OS? If not you can try this trick

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

. If that doesn't work you will need a special factory cable or adapter to charge your battery

If I've already tried with a low battery, and it failed, will I be able to get it to work if I charge it up? Sorry for all the questions.

The cable or adapter you ordered won't charge your phone. It will however, allow you to flash the firmware to it. What it does is supply power to power the phone while you flash it. Once you've flashed it, you'll need to shut it down and then charge it with the cable and charger that came with your phone.

The cable or adapter will do nothing when you plug it into a wall charger. You have to plug it into a USB port on your computer. When you do that, the phone will boot. If an OS is present, it will boot to the OS. If it isn't, it will boot to fastboot so you can flash the firmware. Once you've flashed it, you'll have to charge it with the cable and charger the phone came with before you will be able to boot without the factory cable plugged in. Thought I should mention this in case you were thinking the cable or adapter you ordered would charge your phone. It won't. It will however supply power so you can flash it and then, once it's flashed, you'll be able to charge it like you always would.

Thanks to the help of a few good men on this forum, and the tireless efforts of team black hat, I've got the Razr up and running as of 10 mins ago! I'm so stoked! Until I got all the angry texts from the girlfriend asking why I was ignoring her. Maybe I should have left it off..... lol
