Here is a TIP I Learned of :

To Increase the life of The Razr Battery on a daily charge, TURN OFF POCKET DETECTION !
My Battery has lasted over a day on single charge with moderate usage. ie, emails, texting , browsing web, and phone calls. No gaming or music playing on this TEST

Find something NEW ....Post it here

Thanks Everyone

I have been using the free version of juice defender set on balanced. Also, where Ilive, 4G hasn't arrived. I switched to cdma only and I have noticed a huge difference. Had 40% battery left after 14 hours with moderate to heavy use. Downloading apps, browsing and such.

I opted to stick with smart actions vice an app outside the OS, for now...

battery extender
home
timeframe (to turn Wifi off while I'm at work)

They are pretty much defaults, very intuitive to set up.

I actually used the TasKiller app I bought back in the day. Here's my tips.

1. When at home in a wifi environment use it! I've been screaming this for years WiFi does not drain battery like people think.
2. Only use Bluetooth when need it. i.e. Car , Headset , etc.
3. When away from wifi turn it off it will scan forever using your battery down with a quickness.
4. If not in a 4G / LTE area turn to CDMA only. Or if you are in 4G/LTE turn it off unless your tethering or just want the speed, your choice.
5. Kill the bloat if you cant uninstall it or hide it, Block it i.e. TasKiller.

On my last battery Test had 23 hours with 15% left but had to go to bed and just turned it off and recharged.

If i think of anymore tips I will post more.

well I installed juice defender ultimate, ran two days and noticed a small increase in battery life. My work signal is weak and demanding on the battery so any little bit helped. the only side affect I didn't care for was the total loss of data signal and the time for data to re-sync. with smart actions I would lose the same data signal but the recovery of the signal was noticeably shorter. So it can work but I'll stick with smart actions.

Keep the battery tips coming in.

If you dont have wifi at work turn it off also turn off Bluetooth, switch to cdma only. Juice Defender would not be my choice to use, I think a better option would be the TasKiller App, then make sure you shut down all the Bloatware i.e. Slacker, V-Cast that way you only have the minimum items running or...

Turn off data all together that way you can just receive calls and text.

BTW good to see ya again Scrub175 :D

Thank you... I have a smart action based on time frame that turns off wifi during my work hours. When I get home wifi is back on which then triggers my home smart action. So jd was not really needed to turn off wifi and the search drain.

I agree the smart actions is a little weird at first but I have found it very useful with my day to day activities. If you take the time too set it up, it does serve a great purpose, pertaining to battery life. I have mine set for no data between 7 and 12 that is when I'm busiest at work and if o need it I put it back on then it kicks back on when my screen times out. There is many configurations . Test them out everyone and post your findings.
