I am running ICS on the razr. If you are as well then you do not need a task killer at all :P just hold down your home button and swipe away all the apps. Also i 100% agree with juice defender. I have the ultimate version and it works amazingly!!! just always remember when you get into playing games or streaming on these razr theres not much you can save for battery life :/. i tried using smart actions...but i dont know i just didnt liek the set up. also it might not make a difference but set the screen time out to like 15 seconds or something. basically the best thing to do if you want to save batter have it do the least amount of stuff in background. which juice defender does for you! and once a month let the battery fully die and charge it while the phone is on JUST FOR CHARGING and let it fully charge.

Should say *if you're running a version of Android newer than froyo, you don't need a task killer.

While I don't use smart actions to prolong battery, I absolutely love that app.

-I use them to turn on my music app when I put the phone in my car dock
-To put my phone on silent during sleeping hours while still letting through important calls from my wife and daughter
-To turn off my gps at work since it just constantly looks for a single due to the building I am in
-To set my brightness to minimum whenever it is in any dock.

I also use verizon wifi auto on app to turn on wifi when I am at home and off when I leave.

I love this stuff. Finally feel like my SMARTphone is actually getting smart.

Here's what I use to prolong battery, even though this mother has a 3300mAh battery.

4G Toggle by We Make Better Apps:

This allows you to quickly select from 4G to 3G when not in a 4G area. Great widget that I use frequently.
Data Enabler Widget by farproc:

This allows you to disable 1x, 3G and 4G when your in those nasty areas and don't want to waste battery, or you're on WiFi (that's what I use it for primarily)

Both widgets have helped me tremendously. I don't believe that Smart Actions will do you any good unless you change the settings specifically to your everyday life, and let's face it, things change! I use Smart Actions for bedtime and and In-Car, but that's about it.

I've only had my Razr Maxx a week and last weekend it lasted me about 36 hours total. (1 Day and 12 hours) with heavy use at first, and then medium use the rest of the way.
