What do you expect, its been how long now & you haven't updated anyone on details of what they said. Poor business management for the buyers in my opinion


I suppose if I were running a business that would matter. /rolleyes

Everyone relax, the units aren't even out yet. At least 90% of the pre-orders that they are swamped with were sent there either directly or indirectly from us (I post on the front page here, then my article got picked up by multiple Android news sites) so they are willing to work with me. I am in the process of negotiating some things with them to ensure it even makes sense to do, I am not going to post every time I have a minor update. I will post when I have something noteworthy to mention.

It's been well over a week since there was any update made available about a group purchase, I am assuming this has turned out to be fool's gold. I spoke to the shop last week and they seemed very overwhelmed by the response and to be honest I am not too keen on the idea of sending my phone out for who knows how long. Does anyone on this thread even know anyone who was able to order one? I went to the site within 30 minutes of it hitting Engadget and they already had the "no more pre-orders" announcement on their site...looks like it's time to find other options.

Not sure how often you talk to them but next time you do, can you please see if there is anything we can do about NOT having to send in our devices? When the site first announced they had the conversion kits, they were going to send them out. Now supposedly we have to send our devices in to them? It doesn't make sense to send them my phone and be without one for 2-3 weeks when I could just use my phone while waiting for the shipment then do it myself and be without a phone for a matter of hours.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we can get the kits shipped to us, count me in. If not, then count me out.

I really, really, really want to be in on this. However, I really, really, really can't be without my phone for more than about 24 hours. If there is a way to do this without having to send the phones in, I am in for sure. If we have to send in our phones, I will most likely be forced out. :(

Agreed. I'm sure SoLongSideKick knows few of us could be without our phones for that long of a time span, thus being a deal breaker for the majority of us to send in our phones.
