Screw it, I snagged up OTA Root Keeper and am downloading the update now. Will report when it's done.

That method doesn't work. I tried it last night...

Yes. The arcane mentioned this in his original announcement so I don't understand the fear here.

I had this issue initially. I had to wait a while before it actually did something. If you're still having problems, try rebooting. Wait a few minutes after you reboot for the phone to finish starting everything as well.

lol ok ty, i'll let it rest ;)

can you upload the file cause my check for update isnt working now :(

I don't think updates stay on the phone when they're done. I tried searching but couldn't find any zip files related to it.

I just tried an hour ago and I was able to restore root using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper just fine.

Once it's finished downloading, I can try to find it with root explorer. push comes to shove, someone can just do a system dump and upload it.

OTA updates stay in the /cache until they're installed if I remember correctly.

I've had ICS for a week, using gummy. However I am so ready for this so I can use my camcorder and Netflix.

Hey T3, what rom were you using when you downloaded the cheesecake update? and were you on .173? I'm using axiom and I dont think its recognizing the fact that I need to update because of it so I'm thinking about blowing it all away right now and going back to stock .173

You will need to be on the latest OEM firmware for this to work. Make sure you also have Safestrap or Bootstrap uninstalled and anything else needed so that the update doesn't fail its consistency checks.

Noticing something weird..........

According to the file that is downloading in /cache, the name of it is Blur_Version.6.12.173.XT912.Verizon

I'm on stock .173 right now so this makes no sense.

Updates have the version you are upgrading from as the file name. I think you should be fine.

Ok so for anyone who gets their download before I do.

After the download is finished, DO NOT INSTALL IT JUST YET!

Use Root Explorer and navigate to /cache

Copy the zip file in there to your PC and upload the file somewhere.

I have successfully flashed it using the cheesecake method. Here is a screenshot of the about screen. Upgraded kernel! Awesome!

Edit: FYI Chrome works correctly! Yay for hardware acceleration!

Is there any differences between this and the RAZR leaks we've seen? The lock screen? App drawer? Is the menu button in apps or Settings button in the notification shade?
