This was answered on May 2 see earlier threads. It has nothing to do with whether the bootloader is unlocked or not. It has to do with Android architecture.

ICS and JB use different Kernels.

Safestrap is a apk - (APP) which operates from the top or outer layer of the system (not correct word -I'm not a developer).

The Kernel contains all the hardware drivers - camera, memory, audio etc. required by the hardware. The Kernels  are different.

See:

It's easy to visualize a Safestrapped device as a dual boot device but this is not correct.

Safestrap is more like Bootcamp etc.

That said, I like Safestrap but Hashcode says he is not moving forward with it and honestly, using TWRP, I can back up my current config, then flash the new nightly ROM  while sitting in a meeting, grocery shopping etc. I chose TWRP for Recovery because Satestrap utlilizes it therefore, I'm familiar with it-I assume CWM allows similar functionality.

Once you have done it 3 or 4 times, it is very easy. The key is methodology - don't forget to backup because if you do- -something will go wrong and you'll be back here crying about losing all your pictures of Aunt Lilly hugging your GF's Pomeranian.

Just saying.

Try it - it's a little riskier because you don't have the 'parachute' that Safestrap offers but it allows much more freedom to explore.

As stated- I'm not a developer - If I've misstated anything above - please correct me. :-)

Sorry wrong thread i guess. This one I am using is made by skrilax

In About phone ---> Status i have ICCID Unknown. Is that normal? I know its the SIM card number but data does work still.

I dont have a screenshot of my stock rom at this section to compare.

--

I just restored back to my stock Moto/VZW backup and it does indeed have an ICCID listed. Why does CM 10.1 not display it and instead say "unknown"? I dont see this listed very often as anyone having an issue when i researched it.

So the OP says the camera/camcorder works. Can anyone confirm?
Is there a kernel to flash for this ROM? Running AvaitorHD right now on 4.1.2.

Thanks.

Flashed this and the R8 version of the kernel and the camcorder and sound search work, but now several 3rd party cameras don't.  Retro camera, Vine, and snap chat show a black screen when accessing the camera, all seem to be using the camera though cause they all capture, just don't display on screen while using.  Same with Google Goggles.  And just had to hard boot cause it froze on me.  And it won't get past the unlocked bootloader warning.  Was working fine until about 5 minutes ago

Everything works great, except for the sleep of death issue.

Still having issues with the camcorder. Freezes after I press the stop button. Google Voice Search is a hit or miss.

I'm waiting for this to really come to life.  I just moved from a Nexus to the Razr HD and want CM again!

Edit: Just flashed CM.  Only had it installed for about an hour.  Wireless seems to keep dropping from time to time and the video recording crashes when you stop recording.  My ROM's build date is 5-9-13.

Lots of updates since 5/9. Most stuff is working now. Just one annoying issue which should be fixed in a few days

Where do I get the nightlies then? I thought I could do it from within the ROM update (for nightlies), but it says nothing is available.

Edit:  Found it on DHacker's twitter feed.

Gmail question: anyone know how to disable the little cyan overlay that shows the unread count in the notification bar? I figured it must be a CM10 thing, since I installed Gmail from the Play Store.
