So just flashed the gears, CoD Ghosts, and Halo4 ones they are all turning out with a pinkish purple tint for some reason.Any idea why.

New Fastboot method (if you are on windows and willing to try it ...... just plug in by USB and run the .exe should do everything for you (no windows will appear on your computer screen..it will just run silently and reboot your phone with new logo) ...

Well that didn't go well.  Got a flash failure. Managed to corrupt my rom install. had to use the Utility (Thanks Matt!) to load stock, reload TWRP and restore last nandroid. just got basic phone back and have to run. I'll load the logo later. Thanks, I hope!

None of these methods should have corrupted the ROM install ....

It will if you think you know what you are doing, but really don't!

I'm not sure when, but I think I kicked off the wrong .exe at some point.

I confused a folder after the zip extraction and all hell broke loose.

Is it possible that you used the zip that contains the fastboot (logo scripts.zip) method and tried to use it as flashable zip? ..... or did you extract the flashable zip (Stockbootlogo.zip ) and then try to flash it....?
Or did you try to flash the stockbootlogo.zip from internal instead of external.....

Sorry... just trying to run thru all the possibilities.....

Yes.

I downloaded both fastboot versions. I tried the new one first, but I mistakenly had the phone in APFastboot, not normal boot.

Figuring it didn't work, I went into a folder and ran some exe (thinking I could just normal fastboot it,) and it opened a cmd window and said it would load someone's default rom i think. I can't remember exactly what it said, but I knew it was wrong, so I just closed the window. Pretty sure that is what hosed my rom. I think there might have been a couple of other attempts in there somewhere. I tend to panic when I get unintended results.

 

I just flashed it via recovery, and it looks great!

I should change the "new" fastboot method anyway to display at least something LOL.... as it is that one should only take about 10-15 seconds to run and then reboot your phone..... and theoretically it should work in either APFastboot or normal boot.....


The main thing is now... you are back up and running and with a new logo.....
