The cdt file contains the partition configuration.

Gotcha!

If it's not broke try harder.
I tend to question things I disbelieve are true. Some people cannot handle that. Sorry if you are one of those people.

The cdt file contains the partition configuration.

In the .84 installation file, there is a cdt.bin_8G and a cdt.bin_16G
in all the previous installation files (including the first leak) there is only a cdt.bin

This is also the file that is failing when ppl try to fastboot back...

Thoughts?

It does not matter how you get there. There is so much mis-information here.

Lets Clarify -
1) It does not matter what you do to update your phone, in the end all of the methods apply the update zip that updates the cdrom, cdt.bin, recovery, boot.img, and mbm.
2) It doesn't matter what you have done you will not be able to go back to ..181 or earlier until a method is found
3) If you do try and RSD the device, you can fix it so you can run the 84 or 85.

Anything else has not been proven and is mostly likely inaccurate information.

is there a way I could use moto-fastboot to flash the "84" cdrom, cdt.bin, recovery, boot.img, and mbm files and get my razr working again?
Better to be a Racer for a moment, Than a Spectator for a lifetime.

The cdt.bin_8G or cdt.bin_16G is only based upon the phones flash size. I am probably wrong but isn't it really the mbm files that screwed us.

It might be. I didn't try downgrading, so I really do not know.

If you were on .84 and you tried rsd, then you could pull the cdt.bin/cdrom from the ota file and then fastboot flash them and be back in business.

Has anyone tried using the side loadable .181 leak from March 8 in stock recovery to go back?

Just thinking out loud.

The update would fail because you are not on correct version i believe.

You can go back to stock from the first ics leak without problems, its the second and third leaks .84 and.85 giving people problems.

You have to use rdlite and the full restore file to go back. If you go to droid hive you can download the full restore file and rdlite.

!!!!!!SPLASH!!!!!<<------Yup, that's the sound of me taking the plunge.....I knew it was going to happen!! But I skipped over .84 & went straight to .85. Yes, I know-there's no way out...but I like ICS. I was already on .75 & had flashed DT's modifier script which caused me a few issues & I forgot to make a backup before flashing it, so I was going to have to start all over anyways. I tried not to do it, honest I did. You all know I've had the files since Friday afternoon & I just now did it. My RAZR wouldn't stop taunting me & calling me names....(I am not a wuss!!!) I had to do it.

Don't judge me...I have a problem ok, I'm a CrackFlasher!!
