Then you are on the latest announced OTA, since that's 6.16.211 and 4.0.4. Since you are on axiom, I'm assuming you're on a 4.0.4 ICS leak rather than the official OTA. If you just want the latest/greatest android OS, then you have it. If you want to get to stock, then you need to flash to 6.12.181, which is android version 2.3.6, then flash back up to 6.16.211 (which you could do by just accepting the VZW OTA update, or by flashing the more recent ICS leak of it, i.e, the official MOT blur version of it). You can't really jump from a custom ROM to the equivalent stock, you have to downgrade, then do the OTA, or it will fail the system checks.

And you'd probably be better off, if you plan to do that, using the 1.7 Utility that just came out, since it's designed more for a device with ICS leak already installed.

Just rooted .181 on my razr flawlessly with the latest from Batman... I'm so glad people like u do what you do. Now i can free my phone from the clutches of the corporation who mailed it to me. thanks a million...

I really need some help with going from .211 back to gb 181 stock using matt's 1.6 posted on pg 1. I've tried
1. running the utility c:\ and from different directories w/out success,
2rebooted my computer after uninstalling the moto drivers that came with 1.7 and reinstalling the ones that came with 1.6

I'm getting the same errors (especially the preinstall) and of course my razr maxx will not boot. I still have the ics download file on the SD card root, if that makes any difference.

I'm reinstalling .211 now...

I expect I won't be able to recieve future ota upgrades for .211 since it was not the ota version??.

I was rooted prior to the OTA update. Now I can't get root again. I have tried the methods here, short of a full wipe of the phone, any suggestions? I have a recent backup in Ti, but can't get root to backup new ICS stuff.

Will a factory reset help to make the root work again using one of the methods out there?

It says in the first post that those usually fail and its okay. They failed on mine. I know the first one is the boot logo.

And I just wanted to say that I love this utility. I used to use a Linux sbf CD for my Droid X, but this is even easier and faster. I also like that it has everything I need to get set back up again.

I can vouch for it having the same errors as above and working just fine. I am downloading the official ICS for now. I honestly do't like safe strap. So until bootstrap comes back, all I needis root and the tether hack!

Make sure usb debugging is checked on your phone and when you hook your phone to the pc, it can't be hooked up as mass storage.

I am a complete newb to this process. 1st time. Just updated my ics however the root program is giving me an error. It says that access is denied after I selected option 3. I have version 6.16.211. Will this work with this version?

Please note, cdrom and logo.bin tend to fail to flash. This is normal and OK. Won't affect the restore.
