How do you know it's for 4.2? ...
What else would it be? 4.1.3?

Yeah, it's been discussed on a couple other threads. I was told that they were skipping everyone with modified devices and that that included the registered dev devices that unlocked via the moto site. Obviously they don't have a clue....

I was told back when the last unofficial MR showed up that they were going to release one more 4.1.2 MR before doing 4.2.2. One of two things is going to happen...those who think this is going to be 4.2.2 are going to be HIGHLY disappointed, or I'm going to be pleasantly surprised. LOL! 4.2.2 would give us a kernel that should help the CM 10.1 situation on these devices and that wouldn't suck. So, I hope I'm pleasantly surprised but I'm prepared for another MR.

That's interesting. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. As I said, that wouldn't suck. And thanks. Jayrod made it for me while I was on vaca.

Which is exactly what I was told in late May, so, that lines up with my info. That also means don't hold your breath for 4.2.2. Not going to happen any time soon.

they wont release the 4.2 to our phones not before they release a new phone. Market it a little then they will give us the left overs

I was saving this for a poll, which btw it would make an interesting debate. Anyhow, while on this maintenance update topic, have a look at this screenshot I took of the SurveyMonkey survey. Anyhow, if you didn't take the survey, here was the big question that was asked. Guess which answer I picked. :
