I might need to do a wipe data factory reset on 206. Will I lose root?

Someone should tell google that because it works. I downloaded it from market/play store whatever they want to call it now. And yes it works on occasion. But it seems to get stuck easy. Like it times out during a movie. I'm more then likely going to install flash player which works well on my bionic with axomics ics build. I just wanted to know if others have had a similar outcome.
Edit: it works on Web top also then gets stuck.

well, not sure if you're serious or sarcastic but when I got my phone a few months ago and joined this site, I took the time to read entire threads, took note of issues, googled things I didn't understand, and within a few days I was rooted, installing roms and whatnot. same thing with these ics leaks. took a day or two to read up on issues, make sure I knew what to do, and I learned alot and haven't had issues. I encourage you and others to do the same. Nothing irks me more than someone getting a phone and two hours later trying to download and flash something or coming on here asking "i did X and now my phone is broke help" or asking something that has been answered several times. it really pays to be patient and read up on what you are doing. just a suggestion......after ten minutes i got to page 7. what i needed was pgae 8. so close

uhmm...yes and no. if you search flash in the play store, the version 11. whatever says "support for 4.0 ics", and as many people on this site have reported, flash is hit or miss. some sites work, others don't. for some it works fine, others it doesn't. but the statement that there "isn't" flash is not accurate. i installed it and many of the sites I visit that have flash work just fine. its hit and miss....What are you streaming? There isn't adobe flash for ics...

if by this you mean going into system --> privacy --> factory reset...then you should retain root just fine. i've done it a few times no issues. if you mean wiping data by some other means like in recovery mode or something...then you might lose root.I might need to do a wipe data factory reset on 206. Will I lose root?

Just installed 208 got it rooted. Everything looks good, BUT, the home key is not working. Anyone else have this issue. Any thoughts on how to fix it besides the snarky comments about bringing the phone back to Verizon, etc. The home button worked before doing this update.
Thanks
Strange issue. Try factory reset or the less invasive wiping of cache/dalvik

Then don't install any leak past 79, or you'll be off the path. If you want 4.0.4 that bad then do it, but you won't be able to get back to gingerbread to get the offical ota.I've read most of this thread and am not 100% sure of the answer to my question.
