I had cheesecake installed though, I uninstalled it and rebooted the phone and it still popped up. When I downloaded the cheesecake .206 it showed up in the notification bar this one don't show up? Look at what I see when I go to system update and I'm downloading it.

Thats the thing i went to cake and tried to look for updates but when i had to setup motorola account it said cant connect something about my wifi not working. But i was connected so i rebooted my phone and went to about phone/system update and that .206 window popped up. So i uninstalled the cake app and rebooted my phone and when it came back on the .206 notification popped up in the middle of my screen.

Should have downloaded it and compared it to the leaked .206. From what I've read, once you change the server it uses to check for updates using cake it keeps it on that server. Not sure how you can change it back to whatever the default server is however.

Well the good thing is that 206 is so far the leak. Nothing new yet. So far Ive been noticing all the leaks coming out on Thursdays and Fridays

Would factory resetting and wiping cache put me back on the correct default server?

I'm pretty sure it may. I'd just use RSD and flash the .181 fastboot to make 100% sure, that'd be pretty certain to reset it.

EIther bricked their device and are going crazy, or realized it was a pushed update from the "app" and not directly from Moto, that or he ate too much pizza and passed out.

Seriously. Don't waste your time waiting for OTA since Verizon hasn't announced it yet. They always announce a couple weeks before the release on their site

Agree 100% - if you want ICS, we have it. Go get it. If you don't want it bad enough to take the risks involved, then wait.

Those are the only options. The process goes like this:

Motorola testing > Verizon Testing > Soak Test > OTA

We're at the first two stages now. No soak, no OTA. There are enough MFN users here (myself included) that we will know when the soak is about the begin. It'll be plastered everywhere on the interwebs. You won't miss it.

Either get your own ICS (79 is fastbootable so.... why not?) or be patient.

I think all the carriers get together for a big laugh on our part. I was with Tmobile and had the G2x and the vibrant and every few months rumors and leaks would come out about said update.
