I was under the impression from Verizon that NFL Mobile would give me the opportunity to watch any game on Sunday. However, now I'm told it is based on my gps location. I know Tasker is powerful enough to stop my gps location, but, can I use it to set a custom location within the NFL Mobile app? Any help would be appreciated.

um I don't think this would be possible... basically you'd have to "hack" your GPS to get it to think you were in a different city, right?  Not sure how you would do this from a software perspective...

I was attempting to "trick" the app. I thought that if I got the gps location and stored it in a variable, then turned off the gps altogether, I could then rename my variable to the coordinates I wanted, for Indianapolis, IN, and set the gps coordinates that way. I'm not trying to falsify my whole gps system, just the way NFL Mobile reads it.

That's what I figured.  I do like this idea, but still not sure if it's possible.  Guess you'd have to somehow force the NFL Mobile app to use the coordinates from a different city...

I think the first step would be to obtain the coordinates that are stored in the app. When you first install NFL Mobile, it gets the coordinates for your area through gps. This would be a property, I assume, but, I don't how to get it. My biggest problem is syntax. Its been years since I have programmed, to say I'm "rusty" would be an understatement! LOL

Suggestion, why not grab an app like privacy guard that allows you to turn on and off an apps permissions? Then you could disallow NFL mobile from using your location at all.
