For those on 209, is it faster /smoother than 206? I like 206 and don't want to go through all the work of setting everything back up if it's not.

load up the battery to 70%, copy 209 files (Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip, Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.crc) to sdcard, use Droid RAZR Utility 1.6, flash as many 181 files as possible (ignore the failed copied files), fastboot 209 boot image from unstuck 209 thread, load stock recovery, wipe, then load the 209 zip in recovery (Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip)....

209 boot img file isn't flashed, thats why you get those status 7 errors

Just got 209 installed, seems awesome, bout to check data..208 battery was horrible imo so hopefully this one is better, definitely noticeable changes just setting up the phone, running great though, OTA is getting close!

I used unstuck209 to flash 209 boot img, but still got the status 7 error.

i just snatched the boot209.img and fastboot it manually, didn't actually use the unstuck tool

are you sure you have the right 209 Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip and Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.crc files

ive been trying to go from 181 to ICS all day, but my phone seems to hate these update files. Every time I try to install the updates, I get an "install aborted" message. ive tried redownloading them in case it was currupt, and ive tried 206 and 208... Im having zero luck.

Did you Fastboot to 181 then follow the instructions? It makes a difference.

Look this is really getting confusing with all the file names the same, i think that is why you all are getting the 7 error when restoring the latest leaks, don,t have the rite file downloaded. What someone needs to do that has all of the leakes archived and labled correctly is to give the people an accurate byte number so they are sure to have the rite file. So far i think with winrar .79 is 488,479,382 .208 is 490,875,875 and the new .409 is 491,440,613. I just think this would help because if you have the rite download and unstuck number and use matt's instructions it will go off without a hitch, and is really easy to update and root. You must make sure you have the rite tool.

Or you could do what I've been doing since the 75 leak. I've created folders for each leak on my phone and keep all of them on my external sdcard. It's never been an issue when installing these files.

Yep. Not only that, but it seems that the steps all have a slightly different order to them, depending on which thread you read about what leaks. Ive tried every way I found instructions for. It always ends the same way... either I am on .181 or the phone goes as far as the M logo for about 20 seconds before powering down.

Yes, this is 209...

HUGE warning to all who even consider this update. Like the 6.14.84.85 updates that have people stuck on them, this update will leave you stranded with no hope of ever going to gingerbread again. Those evil and sad words aside...

Has the crc and the zip in that folder.

This is to be applied over 6.12.181 if you dare...

If you are really brave you are on your own and this is in no way my responsibility if you choose to flash this.

I am rooted using the same method we use to root 6.16.206
Unstuck tool has been updated for 6.16.209 as well:

Hey Matt, I need some help/troubleshooting. When I run your utility (1.6) all goes well until my whole computerFreezes. I thought at first it was an issue in the file, so I reinstalled the utility and it worked the first time, last night I tried again and the same thing happened again.could you or many of the other experts on this site point me in the right direction?

I'm no expert but that has happen to me also. I ran the utility the other night and it seemed like it froze up on me. So i went outside for awhile a came back it and to my surprise it was finish and my phone was booting up. I figured my computer is a little on the slow side. It took about 20 minutes to finish.

I have had it stick on the logo before. Boot into moto recovery and wipe. Then reboot and all will work.
