I just checked my wifes phone and no OTA for her yet. is there a new utility for 211 yet ?

VZWsupport just tweeted a response to someone an hour ago saying it will take 2-3 weeks to reach everyone. So you may be waiting awhile.

So the zip file in this thread is the same file as the OTA, confirmed via MD5, etc.?

Going to use to to update my wife's Razr Maxx (she's on stock GB 181).

Have folks been dirty flashing w/success? I know VZW doesn't recommend or require a wipe before flashing the update via OTA, wondering if the wipe recommended here was due to some difference(s) between the official OTA and this file, maybe the install scripts are different, etc.

Thanks.

It's the same. As posted in 30 other threads. It's the same exact file.

Just applied the update and my wife's phone had an error patching the boot image. She was on stock 181 GB.

Put the Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip file on SD card.
Booted into stock recoery.
Selected apply update option
Selected Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip

Went through updates successfully until it hit the patch image step:

Patching boot image
e:error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Satus 0)
Installation aborted

What do do now? Sitting in stock recovery w/this error message.

Thanks

I think people need to google "gb2ics" and download my pseudoICS tool. Use Matts tool to go back to stock. Find motofail, root, protect root, flash ics recovery from my tool, start new recovery, install 211 from new recovery.

Lets get this transition over with.

Was that directed (in part) at my question/problem w/applying the update?

Not sure what to do at this point...followed the steps in the OP to do the install but it didn't complete.

Thanks.

I apologize in advance if my question has already been answered.
My phone had the stock GB ROM (no root). I just attempted to apply this update. As the installation was progressing, I got a message that installation was aborted. Rebooted the phone, and now it's suck at the red motorola dual core screen.

Any advice on how to proceed?

thank you;

Reload it again through recovery.....

On a side note, it's always good to read FULL THREADS before jumping on a bandwagon, normally your first couple pages answer all the questions you may have, and you learn from everyone elses problems
