With the advice from GearJammin Mod I erased the two TZ lines in the code and flashed through RSD Lite and it worked great.  Thanks again for the help.

Hello,

I am having screen problems with my Razr HD Maxx, the screen will sometimes completely stop working.  For example: last weekend my phone quit working Friday night and started working again Sunday late morning.  I get sound notifications and calls but can't see the screen, at times I even answer the phone with a blank screen.

Anyway, what I'm getting  at is I have a month left on my warranty but I don't want to send it back rooted.

Here's what I have:

System version - 9.18.79.XT926

Android version - 4.1.2

I rooted the phone when I got it but when the OTA updates came I installed them because I found a forum saying I could, well now I realize that I lost my root capabilities but it still shows root.

Can anyone tell me how to flash it back to stock so I can send it in.

When I first got the phone I did soft brick it and had to flash back to stock which I did using RSD Lite v6.1.4, worked great, I just don't know if I can still do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Are you saying I can use RSD to flash it back?  Can I use the same files from last year when I got the phone, I still have everything saved to do that if I can.

You can grab the most current sbf from sbf developers and RSD back to stock.... before you send it in :)

I had the screen on and working long enough to give this a shot yesterday.  I grabbed the latest file from sbf developers, removed the two getvar lines and tried flashing.  It stopped quickly giving me two errors.  First it said it was downgrading security, then two errors.  update tz version failed and preflash validation failed for tz.

Any thoughts?
