I switched over to liquid and so far, so good. 8% battery drain over 3 hours is much better than the 20+% over the same time on eclipse. I don't know what was draining so hard on eclipse, most likely some kind of user error, eclipse is always a solid rom. I installed juice defender while still on eclipse, but no changes were noticed as far as battery life goes, and even ran the battery script from here with no noticeable difference.

If you were draining 20% an hour on Eclipse something was botched. I'm getting 18-19 hours on it with heavy use. 6-7 hours of screentime on.

Tried LiquidSmooth didn't work for me. There was no liquid settings menu in the settings menu and under advanced in settings, although the header said liquid settings none of them worked.... Uninstalled

EDIT: Also my gallery didn't show all of my pics except for a few i had downloaded for wallpaper use previously.

Its there just relabeled in settings as shortcuts and they all work fine. I just flashed this am to Liquid 1.5 and changed a bunch of things without issue. I do however have the same issue with Gallery and I posted about it in the thread over on RW. not a big deal to me tho as I hate Gallery and prefer to use QuickPic

That's what I was thinking, I've run eclipse on gb razr and also on my bionic and never had a prob. I work 7-3 and have been getting home with about 30% or less since I flashed a rom on .211, first arctic and then eclipse. Like I said, its most likely some user error.

This is Eclipse. Heavy usage. Note the screen percentage...not 30-40% like everybody else. 2 reboots, a 90mb download & I'm on road all day changing towers so no wifi. Couple of calls, some texts & gtalk.

Which battery saver script? That's impressive battery life considering the screen time.

I'm sold on Liquid. I've used all ROMs here... a different one every other day. I didn't have data problem with any of these. They're all pretty smooth. My Maxx, however, could only last 16 hours with Eclipse 1.0. Arctic lasted me around 35. I'm currently on Liquid with the battery script and this thing just won't die, and everything is super snappy. (I do have GPS and bluetooth turned off unless needed.)

ROM certainly may help but how you use your phone really has a lot to do with it. If you require instantaneous email and you are using data then I would expect less time on your battery. Personally I don't need to use a lot of data, wifi is good enough most of the time. I added Juice defender ultimate and I generally get 19-24 hours before I get near 25%. That was on stock rooted .181. haven't had ICS running long enough to know if it is better or worse. Planning on flashing Arctic tonight so.....
