what do you mean buy a factory cable? all of the usb cords are universal.

But universal USB cords can use different voltages or something that causes a problem. There are known issues not using a Motorola factory cable.

so where do i get a moto factory cable at? verizon?

The white light means incorrect voltages coming from the charger. But worst case senario you have to pop the back off and "jump" the phone off. Like a car by connecting the red and black wire inside the charger to the + and - on the phones battery terminals.

If you have a torx 5 screwdriver if not walmart is about $6 for a set. And a spare cable your good to go.

I never let my phone die all the way but my wife has a few times. When it is completely dead, you can't charge it from a PC. Only the wall charger works at that point. Just like you said, the white light comes on when connected to the PC but I have left if for an hour and it wouldn't turn on.

Plugging it into the wall also does not show anything at first. Like said it seems to need to charge to a certain level before it shows anything. I have also had it lock up before and had to boot it into recovery to restart it. Just hitting the power button it would never turn on.

Absolutely. If you don't want to buy one and are comfortable taking the back plate off I think you can improvise without soldering but like I said, I've never had to do this so I'm not an expert. There are lots of threads about making a factory cable on this forum, as Hicks said.

No off ebay, or tbh's website but they are all out. I had to do this last night because I f'ed up my razr but I "jumped" my razr off.

This a cheap method ive done a few times cheapest and takes bout 30 min then reload ur 211 update.

Charge port unlikely. Probobaly something modified in the system wrong. Normally happpens while using rsd and the battery drains or dies during the system flashing. Its basically a "battery brick." Ive done it a few times on my old og b4 i got a maxx

Bad CHARGER... u need a Moto one to fix this... PC won't even recognize my phone with different cable... only moto one..

im about to right now. if it doesn't work ill be taking into a repair center tomorrow. i don't want to mess with taking it apart.
