I was informed of this root method earlier and successfully did it. I have a question, what about unlocking the bootloader? Does any popular method (for Razr HD) work now? Is there one at all?

Nope and there won't be either.  Be thankful for root. BL unlock is not going to happen.  The security hole in the TZ that allowed it has been patched.
