Just ran the ss 201.apk & as posted here, I chose the uninstall old & install new

all went easily & when I rebooted & did a proof-of-concept did a verify on an existing nand & all went well.

Thanks to our devs, keep up the good work!

Imma sit tight until we get the Kexec gear. No rush to flash the safestrap, although I know this was the hold up to get Kexec running for he masses.

Hang on to your seats folks cuz #winkieslapmoto is inches away!!

Not that I want to do this, but if I am reading this right, with this installed someone could install the GB kernel and go back to a GB rom right?

If someone would be wiling to take the time to make a gb kernel for Kexec, which I doubt. Development is moving forward. You will see jelly beans falling from the sky before you see anything gingerbread, if ever.

Gingerbread is dead. It's time for everyone to move on.

As others have stated, I installed the apk onto my safe side, then opened the app & installed recovery. Rebooted to verify it all went well, entered recovery & v2.01 was there. Thanks Hashcode!!

Now to see if there is any way they can hack together a JB kernel :)
Very good news for the D3 though.

GB over ICS for battery life flash support maybe, but why lose everything down to Froyo? I couldn't get away from Froyo quickly enough. Also, I'm confident battery life on the Razr in general is massively limited by a sloppy/bloated kernel.

I just installed the new safestrap with no problems. I'm running DT's axiom B3. The whole process took about 2 minutes

Complete useless Samsung radios.

This. I went from a droid charge to a razr, and the difference was night and day.

Try rebooting

I... said it went just fine.... why would I need to reboot to try to fix something that isn't working?

Installed this on the safe side and when I reboot my system did not give me the safestrap menu and I am stuck on the stock boot screen (had a custom bootscreen on the safe side).

Any ideas or should I just start from scratch and save myself the hair pulling lol

Update: Nevermind, it worked fine again as soon as I unplugged it from the charger.
