I used SManager and deleted the file no problem. Running .215 black widow rom with blue widow theme and so far nothing is messing up. I think most of the issues is with simplex rom and it sounds like wiping the cache and rebooting fixes it

Deleting seems to have broken delivery reports for SMS. :-(

Even a re-flash of the .215 deox rom has failed to resolve the issue. :-(

Both prior to re-flash and afterwards as well. :-( Seems to be sending SMS OK... just reports are "stuck" on "Pending" :-(

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether or not this script can be a potential spyware? I understand from knowledgable people that this is only a crash reporting script but could it be used for something slighty more nefarious? I've heard may rumors but no solid answers.

Just curious. Or should I really be cautious? lol

Why would anyone care what their motive is, they are doing it without your knowledge or consent. What has Moto or Verizon for that matter done for our community? Answer " NOTHING" You give what you get!!!!!!!!!!!!! There, I said it!!!!!!!

Edit: Said with a smile of course!!!

Everyone should read Motorola's TOS. Believed me , I'm all about are privacy but jmo if you think we have privacy your wrong. The government/ local police can track your every move on your cell without your permission. Hell I can buy software on the net to track any cellphone if I wanted to ,calls, texts , email. This whole thread is blown out of proportion. It is a crash report that's it! It does serve a greater good in os research and design. Probably why it takes a screen shot , is to confirm what you where doing when the report was logged. Now if you bought your phone threw moto then yes they might hold it against you. Most of us have it threw VZW. Moto by law can NOT SHARE these reports with verizon . So there is nothing to worry about.

I found this thread when I searched Google for bug2go. Yep, been around since Feb:

I also found this post from that same search:

Finally, independent confirmation that it is for running log reports by tummy:

II perused the script itself from the pastebin, and I didn't see anything really bad in it either. Am I missing something?

I seriously don't want to step on toes or make anyone look bad or whatever but the OP suggests something nefarious and it ends up being "nothing".

There is a script located in ~/

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

/bin/ entitled 'bugtogo.sh' that does a long of things to our device we do NOT want them doing. I higher suggest anyone running 215 or a ROM based off of 215 such as Arctic, Simplex (not sure if its stuck in there), use a Root

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

manager like Root Explorer to delete this script.

Now since the OP hasn't changed, to the point of now, in this discussion I would like to ask again. Could this potentialy be used for something more than a simple crash report log? If not then I'm confused.

Sorry for the font format but it won't let me change it for some reason
