I've been searching here and elsewhere looking for any leads on how to replace just the gorilla glass screen on my RAZR. Seems everything is sold together, screen, digitizer, lcd...which is expensive. Almost debating just sending it back to Moto for repair (anyone happen to know the price?), but my hope was, since I was going to have it open to replace the screen I could swap in a MAXX battery at the same time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phone still works thank god.

That part is manufactured as a combo unit so there is no way to repair just the display or just the digitizer. Your best bet is to have Motorola repair it. They do it for around $150, which is not a bad price considering the cost of the part alone.

Thanks for your help. Just got an e-mail back from them and it's $125. However, might have a lead on getting a Maxx for $250, and could probably sell my phone for scrap and cover some of the difference. Definitely not going to bother repairing it myself though.

Actually, you can buy the digitizer separately without buying the lcd. It's a little tricky separating the 2.

The problem is finding parts.
