Hi there,

Long time reader, first time poster.

I have a Droid Razr and was trying to install the Eclipse v1.2 Rom. I installed Safestrap v1.0 as my bootloader, booted into recovery, wiped data/factory rest, and installed the Eclipse .zip file. Upon rebooting I only had the M logo for a few seconds and then nothing (black screen) for a few minutes. I tried it again doing the factory rest too and same result. I could still get into safestrap at this point. I thought it might be a safestrap problem so I planned to reboot to stock and install safestrap v2.0.

I uninstalled safestrap via the advance options. I got into AP Fastboot and tried to unbrick via DroidRazrUtility1.7forICS. I first did option 2 since I was orginally on ICS. After the reboot I got M logo then nothing.

Now I CANNOT access stock recovery OR bootloader. I just get the M logo then nothing.

My ultimate goal is to run Eclipse Rom, but I would be glad to get the phone working. I have loaded Roms before on my old Droid X, so I know a little bit about the process, but not the Razr.

Any help would be really appreciated!

on the phone hold the down volume button and power until the screen flashes, then power on the phone while holding BOTH volume buttons
Choose AP Fastboot
in the utility go back to here

Do option 1. It will get you back to stock and back to a usable phone.

Gotta step out. Somebody pick up the rest of this. Please

Make sure that you download the newest Droid Razr Utility 1.81.

What happened was you used the GB SS (v 1.0) and you were on ICS and you needed v 2.xx

So do the above and that will get you back to stock ICS.

Then install SS v 2.11 (that is the newest) and install the recovery through the app.

Then you need to put eclipse on your EXT SD card and reboot and get into SS and make sure you enable safe side and this will make a back up of your orig sys

then you should have a blank canvas to install your ROM but you can go ahead and wipe data/cache/delvik and install your ROM.

This should get you going

After Droid Razr Utility 1.81 finished I powered down and restarted.

I got this screen:

Invaild Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.74
eMMC Infor: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device id LOCKED. Status Code: 0

Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Invalid CG OTV (CG: system): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG Version (CG: system)
Invaild CG OTV (CG: system)

If I power down and restart it comes up with the same screen.

Any ideas?

Looks like a bad flash. Try flashing again and watch for any errors. The utility will flash anything that goes, it will not stop even if a part of the system doesn't flash.

Try flashing again, and be sure the connection between the computer and the phone is good beforehand.

No problem man. Now like it was said above be sure to use Safestrap v2.11, switch to safe side, then flash the rom, and you should be set. :P

Just trying to do that now. I lost root and I only had motofail but it's not working - I'm thinking it's because it was for GB. I guess I lost OTA rootkeeper too.

Yeah Motofail is for GB. Use the root method in the Utility, I don't remember what option it is. And yeah, you probably lost the OTA rootkeeper.

I use it every time I switch roms and it has never given me a problem.
