So I started work on my first theme (for Droid HD v1.1). I really had no idea how much work went into making a theme. Much respect to all of you themers!

It is a lot but if you stick with it and just keep doing a little at a time you can have it pumped out in no time. Set goals for yourself. Like doing 1/4th or half the framework-res images each day.

Or pull a 24v and do an entire theme in like 8 hours without break.

There is that option lol. I'm unfortunately not at the level of 24v. It takes me way longer.

I don't even want to count how many hours i spend working on a theme.

I think with a little practice I'll get them done faster. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of paint.net while I start this project. Also doesn't help that there are 3 or 4 themes that I WANT to make. Trying to keep myself focused on something more basic for right now.

Pick your favorite and focus on 1 haha, makes organizing a lot easier. I find it hard to organize one theme, three would be killer. I only use paint.net to make indexed images work in Photoshop, don't you have Photoshop?

I don't have photoshop yet; wanted to make sure I was going to stick with this before I shelled out the money for it.

I know. But sometimes when you open a indexed image it opens distorted and theres nothing to fix it in Photoshop. So I open it with paint.net then save it and for some reason that fixes it.

Oh yeah that is probably the problem. I had CS5 but it had problems with pulling up a white background for what should have been transparent. CS6 has been flawless for me though.

I might have overlooked this somewhere, but is it possible to see how it looks when I'm partially done? I want to see if the theme looks ok before I continue...
