I have Ikream 2.9 loaded in slot 1 which is my usual daily driver. In slot 2 I have Licorice 1.4 CM10. I have been using the Licorice as a daily driver for about a week and really like it as well.

I love Scalpel 1.0 CM10 since it's clean, fast and is a very solid CM10/JB ROM (especially for a "version 1" release). Plus it still lets me force the use of /sdcard0 as the primary for storage (even using SS3, which should give users the option in the not too far off future update).

For ICS, it's Eclipse all the way baby.

While aosp has come a long way, I keep going back to stock. ROM Toolbox let's me De-bloat what I want gone, while keeping things like native Swype, etc.

I have tried every rom on that list except the last three. All of them have good points and bad. I am currently on Evolution 1.5 and getting the best battery life along with the best Quadrant score I've ever gotten. Today I downloaded Flick 4.0 and installed it on a different slot with SS3 and will play with it later this evening. I like mms and camera flash so I've stuck with ICS roms for the time being but will probably go back to Full Throttle of some kind or Wizzed Bean again soon. I'm posting a screenshot of my second best Quadrant score on Evolution (I was so stunned by the first one right out the box with the rom that I forgot to screenshot it). I'm on an OG Razr.

My Razr is sharp thanks to Droidrzr.com, I will cut you with it if I must.

Any quick advice for a gal looking for 3 things in particular? 1. Volume rocker wake 2. Soft key programmable (like to use search key for fx screen off) 3. Blacked out definitely. I have tried a few so far and like something about them all. Oh battery life is a +. Fwiw I had a rooted thunderbolt forever and used one called thundershed . TIA ;-)

I tried Full Throttle Killerbean and the camera force closed on me. I use my camera quite a bit so I flashed another. Tried ArticHD and on Simplex now. Thanks for your help too ;)

Did you rename your existing dcim folder? That usually fixes that issue.

You may want to try bw aokp. It also has all of that and looks as if it's getting most votes.

No I didn't try that, at the time I didn't know to do that. I still have it if I flash back to it I will do that :)

I will flash that one and try it. I usually don't flash this much but until I find one I completely like I will keep doing it. It's addictive! Thanks for all the suggestions!

I don't like this yeah I know that's my problem. I guess because it's all subjective, the devs make the roms either how they like it and some change things to suit the users. I'd rather just try a rom and read that rom's thread than go by a poll like this.

In other words a popularity poll isn't going to decide if one rom is better than another, it's personal preference.

and oh yeah, "get off my effin lawn!"

It gives us a good Overview of whats out there...It is an Opinion but good Choices for a first Footprint...
