Also for the RSD Flasher:
LARGE NOTE HERE: DO NOT put the FXZ's extracted directory or the FXZ's zip file in a folder with spaces in the path or this WILL FAIL.

On the KK release you can't use wifi while you are connected to a BT device due to a BT stack issue. That would account for bad battery and "poor" wifi as it keeps trying. Can anyone on the soak confirm if BT and wifi work simultaneously? This would be stock ROM. CM11 doesn't have this issue.

I can get wifi and bt working at the same time in stock but I agree they dont seem to play well together
My Blumoo operates through the phone via BT and the phone is connected to wifi

Is it just me or are they taking their time about saying anything official about this soak or release?

They found out root survived the update so gotta go fix that.I was thinking the same thing. No FXZ. No razr m equivalent build. It just seems... Odd.

I don't like it when things get quiet all of a sudden. Will be interesting to see the size of the first pull from the full OTA.

The OTA will be the same size as the soak, which is around 7mb. Not big at all.
Unless something drastic happens and they hold off on sending out the OTA, you won't see anything different from what was leaked.

Bet it's because battery life and WiFi are still effing horrible.
I don't use BT and my WiFi is fully half as strong as it used to be. Easy.
And using the hell out of the Battery app that Sam told me about... there's no funny apps killing it. It's all KERNEL, OS and SCREEN.

That certainly points to a build issue, yes. Which is why I wanted you to use that app.

The time between the last soak test (the KK upgrade) to the actual OTA release was a few weeks if I remember correctly and it wasn't any more noisier or quieter than this one.
Patience must be exerted on this. Soak tests are private and as a soak tester, we are asked to keep mum on any findings. However, I decided to say "screw that" and provided the soak test to Samuri and I'm not hesitant on saying what has been stated.
Technically, it's still blue tooth issues for some (I haven't experienced any like I did on the initial KK release). WiFi signal does seem weaker though, but hasn't been an issue.
Otherwise, the phone has been rock solid for me, but I've now gone to CM11 which is another ball of wax, but it works pretty darned good as well.
Plus, no bloat.

No, this soak IS different for reasons I'm not going to discuss. It's unusual and I really don't know why.

Battery life issue is iffy depending on who you ask. On the soak test private boards, it's almost 50/50 that some have great battery life (me) and others don't. Someone else on this forum stated battery life depends on a lot of factors: how old is the battery (life decreases the more it's charged), use of the phone varies between individuals, etc.
And I agree but the difference from just upgrading to KK was huge, not just a little worse.
Even if this dude is only half right, it's still a monster difference:
His conclusion:
Jelly Bean Standby Time: 32 days 7 hours
Only process that took battery was Phone Idle at 98%
KitKat Standby Time: 14 days 19 hours
Phone idle 46%
Android OS 31%
MotoCare 7%
Android System 6%
Google Services 5%
Calendar 4%

Did you try extracting the FXZ by hand and pointing the RSD Flasher at the xml file in the extracted folder?
