Yes, I just tested by upgrading to 0.72 via OTA update. It kept failing me before which is why I was trying to go back to Stock.

ok everyone, we have had success with the new (updated) files so ... i have now added them to the zip so you no longer need to DL them seperatly.... I want to thank everyone for being patient while we worked thru the problems with the utility!! and BIG thank you to those of you who have been willing to test this, knowing the risks based on the problems we have had in the past .... i will be updating the OP with the link as well

Are you running the script from within the utility folder?

I got it. Didnt realize i had to cd to that folder. I was just doing sudo then dragging the script into terminal.

Thanks for the response and thanks so much for putting this together. I only have windows on parallels and I could not get the utility to work on that.

Well I got back to stock ok. But trying to root it keeps saying the exploit failed. I get the vibration when doing power and volume up. Any ideas?

You're welcome.... :-) I finally got all my necessary (trucking software) windoze programs to work properly in virtual so I am in the process of converting completely to Linux

Well I got back to stock ok. But trying to root it keeps saying the exploit failed. I get the vibration when doing power and volume up. Any ideas?

Are you getting the distinct vibration as opposed to volume down vibration?

Nice.... maybe you had to hold your tongue in a different position lol....
Seriously tho, apparently if you are a few milliseconds off while hitting the buttons simultaneously .... it may not work

I used ver 1.1 of the utility yesterday to take my Razr maxx hd back to stock so I could take the OTA JB update. I've been running the leaked JB for a couple of weeks but couldn't install the official one on top of it. Unlike my original experience with the ver 1.0, it worked flawlessly this time around!

LinuxMacDroidRazrHD.sh: 95: LinuxMacDroidRazrHD.sh: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

is there something that has changed? or is there something i should be looking for on my end that caused this error?
