Don't you have to have some sort of init.d script to run on boot so the values will stay?

yea. There might be some. Go to the opptimizer site, there are links to a rootzwiki thread for the project, and info on zip files to flash for certain speeds. Haven't tried them. I don't want it to boot with them yet in case something goes wrong. I'm tired of bootloops.
EDIT: Hotboots do not reset it.

No problem. after you do it the first time you only need the #echo command to change it again, until you reboot. i was stable at 13.75MHz @ 13.8. every processor handles the load differently, so be careful.

Anything new with this? I see there is a new version for Razr, how is that working out? Is undervolting saving battery life noticeably?

just started trying the new module, hasnt gone as good as 0.2 but the dev likes it, so gotta figure it out
