"Arcade" Theme

Hi all, let's bring it back to the 1980's and go 8-bit style with "Arcade!"



Sorry about the alarm on the lock screen, forgot to turn it off for the photo shoot

What apk's have been themed (some more than others):

• Framework-res
• Browser
• Contacts
• Email
• Gmail
• MMS
• Phone
• SystemUI

Differences to Simplex-V1.3:

• Boot animation – My creation of an arcade combination.
• Status Bar Icons.
• Dialer font.
• Lock screen Clock Font
• Dock and Lock screen Icons.
• Default Wallpaper – Can be changed to any wallpaper.
• White text in SMS.
• MANY different icons.

Upcoming Changes:

• Suggestions?
• Make lock screen background darker.
• Make a themed battery icon.

Installation:

(This is assuming you are already on Simplex-V1.3 | Ics4.04 | 10/1/2012)

• Arcade_v1.0.1 DOWNLOAD:

• Download and install onto SD Card.
• Reboot into Recovery Mode SafeStrap (I have only tested using SafeStrap v3.05).
• If you want to be safe: Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache (In “Wipe”).
• Choose “Install”
• Locate “Arcade_v1.0.1.zip”
• "Swipe to Confirm Flash"
• After installation, Reboot, and enjoy!

This is a zip of various icons like the dock icons. Download, unzip and use the icons you want. If using Apex Launcher, long press on the icon, select "Edit", press icon, and locate the icon you want to replace it with. Then press "OK."

If anyone would like to pull and edit to use things for theming etc, go ahead. If you do post, all I ask is to be added under credits with a link to the page. You do not need to ask.

Have you done any theming work before?

I might be able to port it over, I just don't know when I'll get the time with Thanksgiving and all.

I had to flash simplex just to try this theme out! It looks awesome, thank you for your work! My only question would be would it be possible to theme more of the apps, such as chrome and play? Again, thank you for your time and effort!

There are a lot of threads on here where you can begin to learn how to theme. It isn't too difficult once you get everything set up like apk-multi-tool or apk tool.

My recommendation to being learning is to start with a rom and begin to change the things you want. Google becomes your best friend.

I would give you the files I used but it would provably be easier to look and learn. Ask questions too!
