Xlightwaverx, I'll try your new file, but just to be sure: When I am Booting the JB Kernel, should I be on the main screen of the phone or do I have to be in Recovery for it to work? Maybe that's the problem.

And, just incase this still doesn't work, is there anyway I can place the JB Kernel .img file on my SD card, and boot it through Recovery or some other way? Thanks a lot for your help.

To flash the kernel you need to be in Fastboot mode. for your second question, I do not believe so....

Okay, so I got tired of trying to Boot to JB Kernel and installed ICS based DualCore Rom. But I am still determined to experience the "smooth as butter" JB based TripleCore Rom. So in order to Boot to JB Kernel using the utility option #3, would I need to switch to Stock Rom Setting in SS 3.11, or stay in Rom Slot 1?

If you are still on ics and haven't taken any ota than Stock Rom will not boot after flashing the jelly bean kernel. It doesn't matter what Rom you have activated prior to flashing a different kernel as long as after (or before) flashing the kernel, you are set to boot into a Rom that is based off of the kernel you just flashed. If you flashed jb soak kernel than activate a Rom slot and flash a Rom based off of the jb soak kernel

Does this have the ability to swap between soak and non-soak JB kernels?

Basically it looks like the files are all there (which is why I thought it did what I said earlier), so it would be easy tweak to scripts....just saying :) But you can let xlightwaverx do it

Done. Redownload, and let me know. Again, did this from my phone. If some one has blatant issues with something, use my Gtalk that is in OP. This forum doesn't always email me updates.

Didn't used to see much need, as I don't care about ICS anymore; but with two incompatible flavors of JB at once, us flashin fools NEED a phone-based script to flash kernels!

Hey Guys,

I installed an ICS based rom in Rom Slot 1 of Safestrap, and I already installed Apps, Contacts, etc.
Now, I want to install a JB based rom in Rom Slot 2 of Safestrap, and boot with the JB Kernel of course. If I wipe in Rom Slot 2 and switch to Rom Slot 2 to try the JB based rom, will all the Apps, Contacts, etc. I installed in the ICS based rom in Rom Slot 1 remain installed in Rom Slot 1, or will I need to reinstall everything when I switch back to Rom Slot 1?

Thanks :) .

ferrari, the slots are independent of each other; just be sure not to try restoring an ICS System app (vs. user app).

It would not be a good idea at all.
