The reason I chose the Bionic was due to many factors at the time my contract was up for renewal.

First and foremost, I had been on an OG Droid and loved every second of it, I wanted to continue in the Droid saga and see what other kind of surprises they could throw my way.

Secondly, I'm big on internet speeds. When you go from not having any internet to having 3G, it's a blessing, but once I laid eyes on the 4G LTE speeds that Verizon was touting, I had to have it. I enjoy streaming SHOUTcast servers on my phone, and with the high latency and lower bandwidth of 3G, I was buffering every minute or so. That problem has been solved with 4G.

Being an avid fan of having the "latest and greatest" when I can, the fact that this was Verizon's first dual-core 4G phone was a big deal to me. I presumed this would be their flagship device for at least a few months (unfortunately, I was wrong once they released the RAZR a month later... still kinda peeved about that but what can you do).

Seeing how moto supported the OG Droid well, I figured that I couldn't expect anything less with the Bionic. If you're a fellow Bionic owner, I need say no more, you know exactly what I mean when I say: Nope.

One of the only things that I can really say I wasn't too impressed about was the fact that it's only a qHD screen. When on the homescreen you can clearly see the pixels right underneath the notification bar. It's no Super AMOLED screen, but it gets the job done.

Overall, the build quality of this phone is pretty good, fits well in the hand, the rubberized soft back is a nice touch, especially since it doesn't really show fingerprints like the iPhone.

I'm fairly satisfied with it as a device as a whole, just wish moto cared a little more about the people they "threw under the bus" once they got this device to the market.

I chose the Droid Bionic because it was the first Verizon dual core phone, it has a removable battery, expandable storage, and the screen size. I've had it since I've upgraded and see no reason to get anything else anytime soon!

I got a Droid Bionic because it only cost me $31 dollars and it was right before unlimited data plans where no more grandfather in on cheap phones. Plus I had droid 1 and 2.

I bought my Bionic for the specs because it was the best out at the time (bought it prior to the release of the Razr) and I just had to have a REAL smartphone after sufferring with a BB Storm for two years. I stayed with it because, tbh, it performed very well, even on GB. Sure, there were the initial bugs of occasional random reboots and that maddening data drop issue, but all of this was resolved for me with the .902 update. I was also lucky to not be one of the many that had the misfortune of the data drops returning with .905. Because of that, while I respect and appreciate SamuriHL and his HoB utility, I didn't feel the need to use it and just waited patiently for ICS OTA. In the meantime though, I discovered the Moot in the forum-no-longer-referred-to-by-name.

I stuck with it because it's a great device, the development and support community is quite awesome, and Sarge's Moot threads are very addictive.

I'd like to thank the DroidRzr community for taking us in, regardless of our propensity to often proclaim our love of our favorite breakfast meat, cheese, and of course, a certain member's affinity for velociraptor-riding midgets.

I have no real need for the prizes being offered, so if I win, I nominate the guy who admitted to having a crush on the Bionic Woman to receive my prize! That took some balls...

I chose the Bionic as a replacement from HTC Thunderbolt, primarily for its removable battery (that's something I really don't want to give up) and good specs at the time.

I also have an Otterbox for this phone, so if my name comes up for that item feel free to give to another member ;)

I got it the first day it came out because I was due for an upgrade and it seemed like it would become the flagship moto device. I stuck with it mainly because safestrap has spoiled me, allowing me to flash multiple roms at once. I've come very close to bricking other phones in the past but thanks to Hashcode and Dhackek that won't happen to my bionic.

When I got the Bionic I had never had a smartphone before. I wanted to make sure I did my homework. I thought the Bionic was the best option due to the great Motorola build quality, dual core processor, removable battery, and 4G capability. Since I have had it I have been really satisfied. I love the removable battery and ICS has just made it better. The rest of my family has iphones so I love breaking out the Bionic to show it off!

I got the Bionic because it was the best phone VZW had at the time. About 16 days after I bought it (15 day return policy) they released the Razr. It was as if VZW said, "let's wait for this guys 15 days to expire, then well roll the new phone. Ive kept it because I'm not eligible for it.

For me it was alot of reading in the forum and the fact it was a duel core. I knew that the dev.s would not give up on this phone. They are great. Also the fact is i could not afford a new phone even with my upgrade from verizon because i am disabled and as most of you know that sucks when that happens. So i got a preowned bionic and had it rooted and new rom the day i got it because of the great people we have here. Makes it real easy for the rest of us. I have stuck with it even though i am up for an upgrade again because there is always something new coming out like roms themes overclocking and more. No need for anything else because it is like a new phone anytime you want to change it. Thanks to everyone here.

Got the Bionic right when the Razr came out and was the best Droid choice I had at the time.

I've stayed with it because devs are still going strong with it and this phone still has what it takes to be a great choice.

I purchased the bionic on launch week back in Sep 16 2011, because I wanted a good phone and the best droid phone currently at that time. This was huge for me because I was still using a candy bar style phone, flip phone and the Bionic would be my first smartphone and full touch screen. I'm delighted that I choose this phone and stuck with it because the development and roms have come a long way :D

First time poster but long time follower of the droidrzr site, and I must say this is the best site out there for custom Roms and support. I originally bought the bionic as a replacement after my miserable experience with LG's revolution. The great amount of Roms and numerous devs on this site have caused me to go from seeing my phone as merely a replacement to just "get by" to a device that I couldn't imagine without! Thanks to everyone who contributes on here and please know that your hard work is appreciated!

The reason why I got my Bionic was pretty simple: Palm Pre Plus just wasn't cutting it anymore and as cool and great WebOS was/is...it is also pretty much dead.

Verizon was having a deal for like, $99 and it was time for my wife and I to upgrade.

Why do I continue to use my Bionic? I'm stuck on a 2 year plan, but with that being said...honestly...THE AWESOME ROM'S due to all the developers spending time creating the ROM's so I can crack flash away....

Thank you to all!

I bought my Bionic the first week it came out because I've always been a Moto geek and it was the newest flagship phone with great specs.

I've stuck through the good and bad times because my phone has not let me down and has taken everything i have threw at it in stride while learning to hack, root and ROM. Thanks to the great support our community has provided, i am not ready to leave my bionic anytime soon!

I purchased a bionic because my first cell phone was a Motorola and I felt as if another offering of Motorola would be absolutely amazing. I was especially appealed to the 4G and a dual core processor, so I just had to get it. I love the phone. I like the fact that I was able to grow up to Android 4.1.2 from 2.3, which is the main reason I kept the phone the entire time.

This is a great giveaway! We went back to Verizon about a year and a half ago and the Bionic was the phone I chose when we switched back.

I have been trading/selling off some of my "Higher End" phones (GS3) recently so I can wait and see what comes up this year.

I've owned a Bionic before and of course traded it off over a year ago. So I decided to look for something I really liked back then and found another Bionic for $65 in near perfect condition with no box or accessories (expect for a silicone case) and I have plenty of chargers lying around.

I bought it and it still had GingerBread on it, one update check and I had one update for GB and the second time I checked for updates it was for ICS and, to me ICS made a huge difference with how this phone performs.

After I got home I noticed that part of the "N" on the front Verizon logo had rubbed away so, I scratched at it and it started coming off I then started to get the whole LOGO to come off. :)

It looks 100% better without that LOGO on there! :D

I could use the extended battery from this giveaway.

I chose the Bionic because I had been following it since it was first announced and when it was finally released and i
I was eligible to upgrade, it was the best phone Verizon offered.

I've stuck with the Bionic because it's been a good phone (made much better by Sam's HoB to get us off GB) and because nothing that's come out since I bought it has been worth dropping $600 to keep my unlimited data.
