it doesn't work for me,so does it work for xt910 razr (europe)? i tried almost everything and i always got :

Ok guys so Im a newby at rooting. Trying to root a Razr using Razr Blade. I downloaded the file. turned USB to MTD. Turned on USB debugging and ran run.bat from a win 7 machine. It never goes past daemon started successfully. What am I doing wrong. This Razr is running the new JB software.

so i just tried rooting my razr maxx which updated to jelly bean yesterday but the code reached a point where it displays
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *
and now it just paused and hasn't done anything else... how can i stop it and try it again? or what else should i do?
Update (or install) the Motorola drivers on your computer. I was stuck there too until I did that.

Hope this helps. I'm actually rooting now, but I got past the 'daemon' part and am on phase three now.

It appears to have worked successfully for me.
Off to delete some bloatware and get wi-fi tether back. If that works, I'm ecstatic.

I just updated by OS to V4.1.2 However I get the following error during my root process "failed on '/data/logger' - Permission denied". I still do not have root. Any help with this?

I have windows- other version links work fine-hmmmmmm- maybe overloaded?

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Well, Silly me. I had configured few smart action after I could not get is root configured. After doing your recommendation and deleting the smart action like new... it worked. I must have done this 5 times. Thanks for giving me sanity back this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

Check your phone and allow root permissions.

Took me two tries to get it, and it finally went through. Excited to see what a rooted phone is like, thanks Dan. Thanks everyone on here who were being so helpful so I could see if I was doing something wrong along the way
