It is not very nice from your side to silence XT910 users like that.

WE WANT ROOT ALSO!!!!! :)

The question was i think more to address the issue that this method doesn't work on xt910 for some reason (might be newer version of smartactions). So maybe some developer here have any ideas?

Lol it's not my fault it doesn't work for the XT910! CDMA vs. GSM is why it doesn't work. That's why it's posted in the XT912 Development Section.

I just updated my xmas build to the latest march build but lost root. OTA rootkeeper isn't restoring either. Can I run this root utility on this build or will it cause an issue?

You're fine to use this. Be sure to clear data in smart actions before running.

Just like most people here, I'm upgraded to the March OTA 4.1.2 JB on my Razr (keep in mind that my "current" Razr is a refab via Asurion... the former met an untimely death from my ex's boyfriend being face planted into it's screen, and was nicely rooted on ICS' 4.0), and have gone through all the required steps in rooting my Razr via the blade method multiple times... and still no joy. I've cleared the cache and data of the Smart Actions app every time when running Razr_Blade in order to get a clean run for root, and every run comes up the same:

Hi
I cannot root my phone with this tool.
I'm on the Vodafone OTA version: 982.124.14.xt910.vodafone.en.eu
I did all the steps, MTP, debug mode, updated drivers, factory reset and all the suggestions in this thread.
(there was no update request for my smart actions).

The batch seems to fail from the start:
I get: "Link failed permission denied in phase one".

Any reason this can't work on the vodafone version?

Thanks

I updated to the latest JB 4.1.2 build but lost root :(
in Superuser app I checked "OTA survival", but not "Temp Unroot" :/

I have official European 4.1.2 Jelly Bean GSM OTA "982.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.FR".

I tried Razr Blade root exploit but it doesn't work for me.

Yeah, I followed steps with USB debugging on, Drivers installed, Cleared data in Smart Actions app, In MTP USB mode.
I think this may be because I have too new version of Smart Actions app.

Already I have this:
SmartActions 4.2.2.5.0 (com.motorola.contextual.smartrules)
SmartActions Android framework 1.0.24 (com.motorola.contextual.fw)
SmartActions proprietary framework 1.0.1 (com.motorola.contextual.mfw)

I want to try to replace Smart Actions to older version.
I already tried with SmartActions versions 4.2.2.5.0 and 4.2.2.4.0.
Can anyone send older Smart Actions app APK file?
