Is there a way to downgrade to ICS and root again?

As far as I know, no there is not.

I factory data reset doesn't mess with the system partition so you will not lose root when you do it. I would try a reset first and see if it clears up your issues. If not then we can talk about reapplying the leak.

Hi! im more or less in the same possition as detonation... i had some issues while rooted and now i want to re-root from the begining but i cant seem to. ive tried everything! factory reset, wipe data/cache, even tried reinstalling the OTA but nothing. superuser and its binaries are still present in the system.... do you have any idea how to proceed? pm if you like! cheers for your great work!

edit: i just realised that it doesnt work for xt910. so ill wait for the xt910 root! thanks!

Very frustrated. Tried everything in the thread except reset which I really don't want to do. Can't uninstall any smart action updates cause its not even an option. Can't update it either. Don't know whats wrong. All drivers are up to date. And yes I have 4.1.2

FYI - The batch file did not run on my WIn8 machine. (Updated Moto drives, able to read/write via USB, USB debug on, not in mass storage, etc.)

It got this far and then hung (It never found a device):

Switched to an XP machine and it ran perfectly! (Also with updated Moto drives, able to read/write via USB, USB debug on, not in mass storage, etc.)

Thought it might help someone else who is thinking of trying it on Win8.

Thanks for your awesome work! Is there any chance you could release a batch to root the Droid 4 which recently upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1. For some reason Voodoo Root Keeper didn't work when I installed the 4.1 OTA.

-Make sure the phone IS NOT in mass storage mode

Does this mean i can pick Media device (MTP) or Camera (PTP)
Which is better to choose.

I have a Droid RAZR with JB 4.1.2 (System ver 98.72.16). I plan to root the phone using RAZR Blade, which I have just downloaded. I'm ready to go, but have a question or two.

Does this install CWM Touch or SafeStrap 3 recovery s/w, or do I have to do that after I root?

Thanks, ran into a problem it says "open smart actions" "Click Get started" "Click Battery Saver" "Click Save"
I go to get started and there is no battery saver button, only Custom. What do i do?

EDIT: I did clear the data. After i cleared again i tested and i see the correct button will try again.

For those using the OSX / Mac script, I updated the razr_blade.sh file in order to get it to install. Like others in the group, I was getting the error that others have posted where the script would fail. Rather than perform a FDR i used it as a clue that perhaps the phone hadn't completely settled down yet when the script was trying to continue. So, my change was to change the Sleep command in the script from Sleep 40 to Sleep 80. After making this change, the script ran perfectly.

Hope this helps anyone with the problem on a Mac, although I suspect the same situation could apply for a PC.

This worked for me on Linux! Thanks scratchsf for the tweak.
