Created a new slot on 2 and installed #14.

  • No Removed Apps for the Desktop or App Draw

this doesn't happen but it seems to be cutting folders > 2x2 . It reduces 3x3 to 2 x 3 . And any folder in the dock is cut to 2 x 1. This happens only on reboot.

Awesome my Friend...Just Downloaded...

But before I did I did a Dusting & Clean with Slot 1 and Deleted All CM Updaters in my Files...Wiped...Force Closed the App and started over...

I guess it was a Corrupted Download...Even My Nano was In the Weeds...However after all this Its Awesome

  • Performance is Awesome
  • No Lags anymore
  • No Force Closes
  • No Removed Apps for the Desktop or App Draw
  • No Camera Issues at All...Have 3 Loaded on
  • My True Test of success is to...Shut down my phone and Reboot...If I see No Speed Bumps or Android Dudes in replacement of my Apps...
  • Its nothing But "Net" moving forward
  • Didnt have to use the Update Gapp which it was mentioned...Gapp 8/3 Should I....

Quite sure I found my Performance Issues after loading R-4.3...Haven't gone back to my other Daily Drives yet just watching how this performs...

"All Good Under The Hood" again

In cm10.2 8/14 nightly how do you switch the storage options? I don't see the 'advanced' menu in the settings like in cm10.1 anymore and I can't find any other menu to make the switch.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yeah.! Its gone and couldn't find it anywhere.
If you really want it you can try this.
Flash the 8/11 unofficial build and swap your storage. Then dirty flash the 8/14 nightly. It will persist. And you'll have your storage swapped.

It seems like fixing permissions usually works for me, you could maybe try wiping caches too.

Using it normal... checking facebook, a couple phone calls and a few text messages with light web browsing. I haven't played any games or used navigation or anything like that though. It's moderate usage for me.

I'm assuming this swaps the "internal" SD with the external SD.

If so, I would highly recommend against doing this. The external SD cards have a limited lifespan when written to. Too much writing can cause it to fail. I had two 32gb SD cards fail on me when I did this swapping. Both failed in less than a year due to the high-volume of writing. I've since stayed away from doing this.

I'm wondering if the developers decided it would be best to not have this option built into the ROM?

Just updated to 8/16 and everything is running smooth. When I switched to 4.3 I deleted my rom slot, created a new rom slot, clean install with gapps 4.3. everything seems to be working fine so far. on the 8/14 build i was running into a few data problems, and when i take a picture in focal it stores only a grey image in the gallery and not the actual picture. Anyone know what causes this?

Its not like the external sdcard is being used to create a swap or system partition. If swapped, its used by the apps to store their data and/or media content. I guess a flash memory can handle that kind of read/write.
Same thing that happens with devices having low or no internal sdcard.

The reason being, internal sd is limited and used up when creating rom slots (esp with safestrap).

I'm running it smoothly since very long. No issues until now with the sdcard.

Focal has been buggy. Crashing each time I tried capturing a video or after taking a picture.
The changelog suggests its being through some general reformats.

Does it work on 8/16.?

Focal is buggy. Noticed this on 8/14 and on 8/16. It has twice locked up my camera to a point where opening any camera app says the OS can't connect to the camera. Restarting fixes it, but only until opening focal/crashing again.

On the 8/14 build I have been having network connection issues. Anyone else?
