Flying Sunset Theme

(Current Theme Version 1.0.4)

Hi all,

Here is a yellow theme based on the a sunset while flying.

I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your device (Nothing should happen...)





What apk's have been themed (some more than others):

• Framework-res
• Browser
• Contacts
• Camera
• Gmail
• MMS
• Phone
• SystemUI

Differences to stock rom:

• Status Bar icons: Yellow.
• Dialer number colors.
• Lockscreen Clock Font.
• Dock and Lockscreen Icons.
• Default Wallpaper – Can be changed to any wallpaper.
• MANY different icons.

Installation:

(This is assuming you are already on Aviator ROM:

• DOWNLOAD THEME:

• Download and install onto SD Card.
• Reboot into Recovery Mode SafeStrap (I have only tested using SafeStrap v3.xx, but it should also work with 2.11).
• If you want to be safe: Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache (In “Wipe”).
• Choose “Install.”
• Locate “Flying Sunset” file.
• Swipe to Confirm Flash.
• After installation, Reboot, and enjoy!

Remove theme and return to stock Aviator theme:

Utility

This is a basic utility for switching between battery icons. I have also included an option for simple battery and NO quicksetting toggles.

Download: Work in progress

Instructions:

• Unzip file and run Aviator Utility.bat.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.
• NOTE: You may need to reboot for a second time if SystemUI force closes on boot. You should only need to do this once.

To come:
A custom boot animation when I come up with a good idea

If anyone would like to pull and edit to use things for theming etc, go ahead. If you do post, all I ask is to be added under thanks/credits. You do not need to ask.

Updated the OP for theme version 1.0.2. Changes include:

v1.0.2 -
Updated to the latest Aviator Version (Blackbird).
Removed Messaging.apk and added Mms.apk.
Changed clock screen font

The download links in the OP should be all working. What are you experiencing when you click on the download link?

I removed the utility link because I ran into a few problems with it. But it should be ready to go in a day or two

I am there right now on a different browser and on a separate monitor. I went to the thread, #1, scrolled down to Themes. Third choice is Flying Sunset.

If I hover over the Download Page to read the entire url link, it says: "

Thanks ZK, I am aware of that link, however reading from what I saw in literal fashion (awkward wording but I did not want it to sound the wrong way since I already have the Aviator Rom installed and running, it was not necessary to click on that link. My understanding is that the link that you referenced was only if one has not yet installed the Rom.

Otherwise, what would be the purpose of the link right below the screen shots? Are you saying that I would need to reflash the entire Rom again, and if so, would then also be up to 3.02?

I understand, I will reword it when I get the chance.

Basically, you need to be on 3.0.2 and then you download the theme from the link after "download." Flash the theme over top of 3.0.2 and then reboot

Thank you. It makes more sense to me now. So....will Titanium Pro do me any good to back everything up and then restore (apps and data that is) after I install the updated rom into a different slot? Sooner or later I was bound to do it anyway because the update sounds great.

BTW, someone at another forum was just looking for a dev to help create something for his new DNA. I told him to come here and seek you guys out in the chat room .

I remember having the opportunity to watch the Blue Angels go through the formalities of approaching the aircraft, salutes, etc. prior to take-off and then seeing it again when they returned. Perhaps you can incorporate some of that along with a take-off roll into a boot animation. Another thought was a good backseat view looking forward under the canopy, watching instrument cluster and horizon at the same time. Just my two cents
