After I apply the 211 update, how DO I go back to stock ICS if I've flashed a ROM or something? I know the first option gets me back to GB (which would no longer be an option once the 211 update is applied). Is there another option to get me back to stock ICS or do we have to wait for a fastboot archive to do that?

Mind you, I'm coming from stock GB 2.3.6 having never installed an ICS leak except 79.

Just wondering, can this update be undone? Like go back to a earlier ics and then get the OTA? Just curious. Thanks!

Got it working. Did everything 4 times and for whatever reason it finally worked. :) Thanks again for a great utility Matt. I still have the original 744 utility on my computer...keeping it old school like that. :P

Nope. You would have to go back to GB and if you are on anything .2XX you cannot. Also .211 is the OTA. Same exact thing.

I chose 2 instead of 1 when I'm on .181 to get to ICS update. Now my phone won't go into recovery.

I am sure there is a quicker way around this, but put Matt's 1.6 utility on your laptop and reinstall .181 and start all over. I would try the unbrick option in this 1.7 first, though.

Hurry, before your battery dies.

I downloaded the official 211 leak, put it on the root of my SD card but when I go into recovery, it doesn't even see the zip folder. I tried renaming it to Update.zip, but it still doesn't see it.

Did you put it on your external sd card?

Did you put it on the root of the ext sd card? That's where it needs to be.

I want to make sure i dont mess this up as i havent seen any straight cut directions yet, I am on .181 rooted and safestrapped. I have Gummy on my safe side but i dont have it activated. How do i go about getting this update on my phone? I have the files downloaded already along with the utility. Do i need to remove safestrap? Remove root? Fastboot? I want to make sure i cover all bases. Please any help is appreciated\

edit: kept reading whole thread and i think i found my answer

Best way would be to do an ADB push:

adb push update.zip /sdcard-ext/

That, or put your phone into USB mode and then copy it to the external sd card.

ADB PUSH is the way I would go.

On another note, I know we can't go back to GB after this. But, if I end up bricking my phone for some reason after going to ICS, how do I get it back to being operational or do we have to wait until an ICS fastboot image becomes available?
