For some reason Motopacalypse is getting stuck on waiting for device for me. It says Waiting for device... And then starts daemon and sits. Do I have to be on fastboot or normal?

I have the same problem. Root checker shows I am rooted.

The apk worked to unlock me with out a problem now shows status 3 unlocked

You should be able to flash anything you want afaik.   :)  You're unlocked.  Welcome to a world of freedom.  Keep my RSD Script Generator on hand to generate scripts for your FXZ...."just in case".  LMAO ;)

what is the version of twrp/cwm we should be using? I want to flash a custom rom with little to no bugs based off of 4.4.2...any suggestions?

Please give links if possible.

You'll have to search yourself if you want TWRP.  I don't even own these phones.  I do what I can to support them but really, you should be able to go search for the KK compatible versions of CWM and TWRP on your own.

Okay, so after I unlocked my bootloader and flashed twrp, I've noticed none of the 4.4.x roms work with it. I get stuck at the boot logo. What could be causing this? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread

Not sure.  You'd have to post in the specific rom threads to get help with them.
