I had a good experience with TMobile in Denver; however, I dropped them thinking they were doomed. Now it looks like they might be here to stay a bit longer. Consistently got 7Mbps with their hspa. Coverage wasn't quite as good as Verizon but substantially better than ATT.

Just got my One S from Tmobile. Speedtest.net keeps showing me between 10k down to 18k down.
My razr gets me a consistant 20k-24k down. Up speeds are even.

But both are better than my Brighthouse Roadrunner lightning 10k down.

For $30 a month , no tax. hmmmmmmm.. Very tempting.

By the way, the One S is a super sweet phone.

If this happens I'm going to Page plus. 55 for unlimited talk Nd text plus 2gb of data is not bad. The only reason why I am still with Verizon is the unlimited data. Another downside of Page plus is that we will only get 3G

I have family plan with 4 phones two with unlimited. Two days ago I went to best buy and upgraded my daughters line to galaxy S3 and kept her 2gb plan. I went home and called Verizon and had them put the S3 on my wife's phone number and my daughters on her original phone. No question asked they switch but I had to go to a Verizon store and get a new sim card programed with my wife's number on it. When I left Verizon the S3 would not activate and kept saying call customer service. I did not and the following day I turned the phone off and back on and it activated. So I activated the S3 on wife's line and kept unlimited plan. Today I transferred my wife's upgrade to my daughter and ordered the razr m. I got really lucky or this is how you work around Verizon death to data plan. Hope they don't catch on and others can do the same.

I can confirm the loophole. I transfered my upgrade to my dummy phone. Upgraded dummy phone, transfered the phone to my number put old dummy phone back on cancelled data plan. I even walked in there and asked about the loophole after a few phone calls i walked out with a brand new SGS3 with unlimited data.

I have also done this. Wife wanted a new phone so got the cheapest phone there was just to get one then ended upgrading a different line. We have been going back and forth for upgrades. I just stole hers and mine is available in February. I have the galaxy S3. While a fun phone the reception sucks compared to all Motorola phones I have had.

So wait, this means if I paid for a phone full price from Verizon and activated it under my current unlimited data plan, they'll knock me off unlimited?!

Not yet...they may make this change at some point, but at the moment you won't lose your unlimited data unless you take an upgrade. I just went in 2 weeks ago, got a Maxx HD on a new line, activated a dumb phone on the new line, and put the Maxx HD on my line.

Why go through that much trouble? Can't you just buy the Maxx HD for full price without a plan or anything, just the phone itsself and then deactivate current phone on Unlimited Plan and then Activate new phone on the current Unlimited Plan?

When you say dumb phone, you literally mean a phone that doesn't need a data plan? I have a family member that's due for an upgrade soon and I'm trying to figure out how to do this loophole. Currently I have the razr, say I went in and used her upgrade (she already has the 2gig data plan) and bought the s3, could I then just take the s3 and transfer my razr to her number?

yes, just use her upgrade to get your new phone. then you can activate the new phone to your line (just pop your sim in and you're good to go, lol)

Why not, you just spent almost $600, and added a line to your plan that you don't use?
device cost $350ish with tax
$9.95 per month for 24 month contract $238.80
$350+240=$590.
So for a little over a hundred more he can own his phone outright, and not have to worry about keeping a line not in use for 2 years.

I don't have to spend that $590 all at once...it's like taking a payment plan...j know in the end I will spend more $$ but at the moment I spent less :)

So you guys are saying that if your main line is eligible for an upgrade, you can transfer that upgrade to dummy phone line, upgrade that dummy phone, then put your main line sim card in in new phone, and then put back the dummy phone back, after all this, you still keep unlimited plan

Where are you getting 350? A brand new galaxy S3 cost me $200 less than a month ago, so for the life of me I can't understand where your getting your figures.

I would definitely check up on that before doing so. to my understanding, you can upgrade one line and put the phone on any line you want, but the upgrade itself actually applies to the line eligable..
