I'm currently using cpu sleeper dual core, battery calibration, and no-frills cpu control. Do you guys have an opinion on these apps. good/bad? Also are there any other root apps. you'd recommend for a stock rom?

AdAway
Root Call Blocker Pro
Titanium Backup Pro
WiFi Tether for Root Users
ROM Toolbox Pro
Root Explorer (file manager)
Droidwall
DSP Manager
Pimp my ROM (alpha)
The ones you mentioned are good root apps too, I use no frills and CPU sleeper as well.

Well make sure to add:
Busybox
Avast gives firewall and antivirus protection for free (does have an orange indicator) which is imo better than Droidwall
If you have trouble with WiFi Tether for Root Users, then try Barnacle Wifi Tether
Get Root Checker recommend the Pro (support developers)
Root Cleaner (favorite cleaner right now)
Make sure to get the suggested ROM Toolbox Pro as it is an ad-blocker, Root Explorer, Set-CPU and does tons of stuff on HTC unlocked phones
Last don't forget to get: Beats Audio Installer
