I guess I am slow - I'm not getting this to work. I have rooted ICS 2.11 on the non safe partition. I put BatakangRom Alpha6 in slot 1
set slot 1 to active ran dualboot util and flashed the jb mode option 3


sending 'boot' (8192 KB)... OKAY [ 0.737s]
writing 'boot'... OKAY [ 1.040s]
[*]
[*] You are now running the stock JB 98.72.8 Kernel.
then it goes past safestrap to boot animation - 30+ minutes later is is still on animation. I also tried Triplecore v1 and the motoblur-98.72.8 roms. same thing - stuck in boot animation after 30min to an hour. if I change back to 2.11 mode with the dual boot util I can get into my safe slot2 ics and my non safe side. with no problem.

What am I missing?

Sounds like you're doing everything right. (I'm sure you have but can never be to safe) are you doing all of the wipes? Twice even. And only flashing the ROM itself and making sure it boots before attempting to flash another zip such as a 1% battery mod or inverted app or anything of that sort? Maybe even delete the slot and create a new slot

Let's see...Your at Root 2.11...Okay

1.Boot up Utilities 1.82 get it ready to Flash JB Leak
1a. You need to be in Stock when flashing to another Kernel not in Safestrap...
2. Power down your Phone...
3. Hold Dn the Power Key, Vol-up Key & Vol-Dn Key
4. This screen get you to chose Fastboot
5. Scroll Dn with your Vol-Dn key to Fastboot
6. Once Highlighted Hit the Vol-Up Key to get you into Fastboot
7. From Here, Plug into your computer
8. Goto Utilities, chose Option #3 Jelly Bean
9. Its will process about 4 to 5 Seconds
10. Once its says your Running JB Un-plug
11. Hit the Power Button to boot up...maybe twice
12. Once it clears the M Red Logo you will see a Splash Screen
13. Hit the Menu Key...Now your in Safestrap
14. Chose Slot # 1 or Slot # 2 than Create your Slot...I usually do 1G
15. When Completed,
16. Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalv, Wipe Factory & Wipe System
17. Goto Install, Select your ROM from the SD Card
18 Flash...
19. If you get into the Weeds with a Black Screen...
20. Hold Dn the Power Key, Vol-Dn & Vol-Up key or known as a Hard Boot to get you back to Safestrap to start over again
21. If that doen't work Sell your PHone to your Neighbor...Kidding you should be Okay

I'll try again - I always wipe everything twice. the Batakang says to install both rom and the gapps at the same time - I'll try it without gapps. and another wipe or 2

wow - 4 wipes later and it is booting up. I guess now I get to see which rom I like

What made the difference(what got it to boot/work)? More wipes? Didn't flash gapps? Tried different ROM?

Once your on the JB Kernel...Un-plug...Hit the Power Key once maybe twice this will boot you back to Safestrap so if you want to try a different Slot you can...

Possibly Hitting the Power Key after the Installed Kernel of JB to bring you back to Safestrap...or a Different Slot, Or Install ROM than Gapp..then reboot...

Now, As far as Wipes...I don't Think a Baby's Butt has had as Many Wipes as that ROM has Wow...That explains the Red Logo i guess...

I tried both at the same time so not sure - but the other roms didn't have gapps in a seperate zip so I'd guess it was the more wipes that made it work.

Which ROM are you running? If you're stock have you tried sqlite hack or wifi Tether for root users?

So when you install a kernel with this it sticks until you change to a different one manually right? I'm guessing the answer is yes, but I want to double check...

Great! Glad i could help. That's what we're here for. Don't be ashamed to ask questions (that is of course after you have tried searching for yourself, otherwise people tend to get pissed lol) not saying I'm not of those people^_^

I have tried this and it worked perfectly. With the utility I'm able to switch between the .211 and the Fat_Free Bean that I installed in slot-2.
I have since messed up my stock side in safestrap. I can still boot to the JB rom in slot -2 but can't boot back to stock.
My question is will Matt's 1.82 utility get me back to stock with safestrap still active?If I disable safestrap I can't boot to any thing because the stock side is not working but I
think it will still go into fastboot mode.
