Is there a PayPal account or something we can send in our money to? I know you say people have pledged that much, and not to say people are not going to pay if this happens, but it would probably be good to get the one in advance so if someone does get this done, they will really get how much was promised to them.

I'm in for $10, it seems like a small price to pay to not have to check the forums five time a day to see if anyone has found a way to root yet.

So is this posted on say xda forums, where there are lots of developers? The more we get out the word that we're offering money for someone to do it, the ore likely it is to happen.

It has been on XDA since Sunday, January 6th when the total was just over $100. I just updated that thread to at mention that the bounty is now at about $350.

Most people who can do it, are waiting till the pot gets big I guarantee it. I've saw one on XDA that was at $1000 before they got root.

Ok tell me if this will work. Use matts utility to go back to. 211, root, and then side load jelly bean. I know 211 won't be functional but I'm trying desperately to get root back

Sounds like a ticket to a brick.

I have read others say they tried Matt's utility. Some failed, others bricked.

When they say there is no path back to ICS, they meant it.

So far, there is no known solution.

As far as going back to Matt's utility, it will not brick, just won't finish the install. (Some security thing) From there you can reinstall jb, but I believe that's it. I don't know about trying to root, but I don't think that will work as Matt's utility generally wants you to have .211 up and running. Worth a shot on a burner phone though...

I was running jelly bean and i kept my root with ota root keeper. I did something and bricked it. So thats when i used matts utility to flash 211 and then side load jelly bean. I should have tried the root
