I have flashed the 5/4 and 5/5 night lies and have the same issues on both. Static screen and constant reboots.<br /><br />via Raging M that is color blind<br /><br />

How do you get out of the constant reboot to flash again?

 

And yes I followed the instructions to the T. My phone is rooted and unlocked..  Like I said it was working fine before bed last night, when I got up this morning i found the static screen and reboot.

Turns out there was a bad upload on my end. My daughter booted into windows because I didn't have a flash player installed in Ubuntu and she wanted to surf cat videos or some such nonsense. Problem was she never told me, instead just booting back into Ubuntu. My bad, I put the new update link, the file size and the md5sum n the OP.

Hold the power button and volume down for 10 seconds or so. Once powered off, hold both volume buttons and press power to get to recovery.

No camera preview and still getting boot flash on 5/5 build

Thanks I used Matt's 1.20 utility from xda and flashed back to 4.1.2

Going to download and try on CWM now. Ill report back. any tips on extra steps for CWM ?

 

 

Should work the same. Make sure to go to format for system and advanced for dalvik wipe.

For Clockworkmod Recovery:

 

Everything seems to be working well!

 

What I did:

 

1. FOLLOWED OP INSTRUCTIONS

(Wiped Data, Cache, Dalvik, and format system - TWICE)

 

2. Mounted system

 

3. Flashed 5/4 nightly, then Orion.

 

4. Rebooted

 

5. Rebooted again on "welcome" screen after getting cell data. 

 

6. Profit

 

7.Thank Marxman3 and Dhacker.

 

(Tip: On second reboot i would get "Sim Card - reboot your phone" which forces your to reboot (can't bypass). Simply reboot again and select "English" before that pop-ups to bypass.)

 

 

 

Hats off to Marxman3 and Dhacker. This is my first rom since BL unlocked.... awesome job!

Try the daily with regular 4.2.2 gapps. There are plenty on goo.im. The correct ones are from 03/03/13. My update is based on that package tweaked to make the rom. Flash those instead of the update. See if that works.

Camera works but no preview. Take the picture and it will be in your gallery.

ROM Toolbox Pro is full of boot animations, not a free app but its worth the money. Or you can find a boot animation you like and move it to the right folder and set the permissions.
