maybe it has something to do with the governors we're using. mine's set to "ondemand"

Try Interactive as your governor and ROW as your scheduler.

alright, let's try that.

I have those as the hard coded default in latest source.

I don't know. I tend to think it's usage patterns. Been flashing kernels across several devices and it's not uncommon for some to have problems. On my Nexus 7 I had more problems than most so I just stuck with stock.

But... I ran the first day with interactive. I've seen several people say they are using the msm governor so I switched to that to check it out. I don't really notice a difference.

I didn't realize that it could be so different fit different phones. Some get good battery life but laggy as hell. Some smooth but no difference.

Trying this out. Mine was set to deadline/ondemand.

Edit: CPU1 also reports as offline... Not sure if this is old news or what.

Does it have CPU1 offline with all governors? Run:

cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt

If it reports as down all the time. It shouldn't have that problem lol Didn't touch CPU

Weird. Looked in the directory and last_kmsg doesn't exist.

Pleased to report after being on battery for 8 hours with light-moderate usage, I'm down to 83%. Battery Widget? Reborn! States I have 1 day, 3 hours left with current usage. Not sure about deep sleep. CPU1 still shows offline in system tuner pro.
Also, maybe take out some of the steppings that aren't used much? That might help a bit.
Edit: scheduler is ROW, governor is Interactive.

I've had this running for a few hours now, and I can agree with Ban-Hammer on this, my battery drain has slowed down significantly compared to the usual 4.2.2 kernel. Great job dude, this bought back most of the battery life I've had before.

Although I'm not having the CPU core staying off issue. Pie controls shows both cores active sometimes. Scheduler on ROW, Interactive governor as well.

Ya honestly I think you have to load down your phone pretty heavy before the 2nd core activates

Which I think is Bull$#!+. There's 2 cores, use them. No sense in having a dual core phone if the 2nd core is rarely used.

Blame mpdecision. It's Qualcomm's proprietary hotplug driver. Could port faux's Intelliplug but that sounds like work.
