Are you on the jb ota? And if you are then try wiping everything and start from scratch...

not on the jb ota but I did try a while back but it failed. I wiped/deleted all of my slots and re-installed 1.0 on slot 1 but still no joy. When you suggest starting from scratch do you mean the stock to the factory and upgrading to jb there?

 

re-installed 1.8.3 without problem until I figure out the problem......love that rom.

I'm having the Google apps won't open issue too :/. How do add you gmail account in Settings? When I try to add account my only options are "Corporate, Email, and Visual Voice mail.. when entering email it tells me to use the gmail app for gmail, but the app, like all the googleapps,  won't open.. suggestions anyone?

On my phone one of the choices was "Google" which I selected to setup my existing gmail account.

Yup..it's in progress. Blu was already done minus a few tweaks due to the screen differences between the RAZR and Bionic. Love the ability to be able to see my bionics screen in daylight but the RAZR screen is a little crisper

Getting a few force closes from random apps. SB nation sports app and the craigslist app will open but when any action is taken they force close. Tried wiping cache/dalvik, tried reinstalling, nothing working as a solution. Everything else seems to be hunky dory. Battery life's been pretty good - flashed at 1 pm, and I'm sitting at 74% after almost 6 hours.

I wasn't given the option to set up gmail upon setup but I just opened the play store for the first time and it went back to setup, entered account info, and everything synced google apps just fine

sorry you guys have those issues...ive tried to recreate a couple and cant do it...my method for installing was (and i havent had one issue yet)delete rom slot..recreate then wipe everything(not sure if this does anything just like it clean)then install rom..wipe cache dalvik again..reboot...and im running smooth

 Re-created the rom slot, and re-flashed the rom and the Google apps issue seems to be resolved, everything running smoother so far. Very excited for this rom.

Yeah unfortunately the Google apps have some issues. I've got an idea for a fix so I'll see if it works. Sorry about that

only problem I had was the ChainsDD superuser causing lost root.  Been running the beta test and now this as my DD  good battery. life no lag.  Great ROM .

In the first update, along with jps gapps idea, we will swap out superuser with supersu.... I'm with bama on the issues :-\ nothing since install... No gapps issues, I was even able to update like 4 gapps with no problem... No freezing or hiccups or lag... Don't understand what the issue is but try doing what bama did... And before setting it up let it settle for a few min

Yes you have to be on factory stock for the JB update. Nothing can be modified and recovery must be uninstalled.
