Great rom btw, I love AOKP and the customization that comes with it. It's very fast, clean, and I like the ability to switch between dark UI and regular.

The new update says it'll only work in rom-slot1, but I believe the links provided are still for the old rom. I tried installing in rom-slot1 and it did not boot. Installed it in rom-slot2 and it worked fine.

Issues:

Hotspot wouldn't turn on properly, but I did a fix permissions and it's fine now.

Just noticed my MMS isn't working. Went back and looked, all the MMS I've tried to send just say sending. Any ideas BigJ?

Just Posted a New Update. I'm working on adding the Aroma installer and allowing the option to install either the standard Kernel or the JBX kernel.

I've had others report being able to make it work using handcent instead of the stock mms. Give that a try and see if it works.

Ok so here is what I did.

1. Downloaded

from the marketplace ON THE STOCK SIDE.
2. Once downloaded, use

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

to set the APN app to a system app by going to the app list, long pressing on the app, then scroll all the way to the bottom and pressing "convert to system app".
3. Go into the APN app and backup the APN settings. Ignore the warnings.
4. Reboot into cmod and install the APN app also.
5. Use titanium backup once again to do the same thing again but on the cmod side.
6, Now, go into the APN app and go into the setting menu thing by pressing the 3 lines button and press DIsable ICS check.
7. Now press the restore button and wait for the APN settings to be restored.
8. Reboot and enjoy working SMS and MMS.

Try Sliding Messaging - They integrated MMS Support and APN selection into the application.  It also has a fix for when you use Wifi (auto-deactivate / reactivate).

WRT The new version: guess I'll need to dirty flash this guy then reapply the theme I'm using!

I'd love to see the JBX Kernel added here. Haven't used it yet.

Also, we can dirty flash this update, no?

Thanks for a kick rear end ROM BigJ. Always quick with updates and replies. We appreciate you and your work.

I hear you.  I just can't stand the stock messaging up and can't wait for the SMS integration on Hangouts.

I just wanted to note that I'm having issues with Lightflow finding all my applications on this Rom.  I have no idea why though.  The applications I have used on all ROMs, so its not them.  It just seems like Lightflow isn't finding them.  Thoughts / advice anyone?  Is this a common AOKP issue?

Also, having issues with the notification bar disappearing and never coming back.  It's extremely frustrating.

Don't know on light flow. Apps are all handled the same. I have seen the task bar. I had to do a clean install and fix permissions.

Yea, it is strange with Lightflow.  I have no clue why it wont find the applications all of the sudden.

I'll try a fix permissions again and maybe that will help.  God, I hope my battery stops this $#!+ behavior (OG Droid Razr since release week - I hope it isn't dying because most other phones still suck right now).

Dirty Flashing didn't work for me. I had a FC on the ASOP Keyboard. I had to recreate the ROM Slot and install fresh. I recreated the slot just in case.

Dirty Flash worked fine for me.  Weird - hit and miss it seems.

I also solved my Light Flow issue - make sure the accessibility feature is turned on! >_< I thought it used to check for that, and I know I turned it on once, but it must have gotten switched off again somehow.

I know there is a cached service that is preventing redraws when I make changes to the notification bar.  It's strange, but when I clear them out if suddenly comes back.  Once I can isolate, I'll let everyone know.

No problems with the dirty flash.. Lol except that I had to flash gapps again. O.o Is that normal? CM and AOKP 4.2.2 are the first ROMs I've used in a long time that didn't have gapps baked in.. Then again its been at least a year since I've used a CM or AOKP ROM.

Also MMS is working again after latest 5/27 build. ;)

I don't have the charging LED, except I think I noticed it this morning. Is it only when 100%?

I've been trying to set wallpaper # 7 from the AOKP wallpapers but it doesn't seem to work, I keep getting the "unfortunately AOKPA wallpapers has stopped" message, any idea what I ca do? That particular wallpaper is the best one I've seen so far. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
